I'm fully aware of health cares underfunding though it's very hit and miss here. More miss in fact. Took our daughter here with a broken elbow, doc said it was a sprain and offered her dilaudid for the pain. We went to another hospitals emerg and were told, yes broken elbow... minor surgery required to rectify, no dilaudid rx'd but T3 instead. I know every doc's different but the VRs batting average is poor in comparison to its nearest health care neighbour.

This Hospital gives their best, they make you feel like family especially in times of need. When you get blood work done, they are as careful as possible, try to make you feel relaxed, thanks to one and all.

The professionalism and knowledge of Dr Davidson and CVA medical specialist exceeded expectations making the 10 hour drive plus the wait well worth it! The confusion of trying to check in through the ER wait room was regrettably a sad glimpse into what a health care system should NOT be. The directions on how to check in and what colour chairs to sit in was not clear. That was OK but making the "mistake" of asking the registrar for directions was met with abruptness and still unclear directions. I realize this is a busy workplace however politeness would serve to lessen the anxiety of persons waiting to be seen. One staff person came into the wait room and asked if anyone had chest pain then simply walked away when one lady answered "yes." This role should be assigned to someone practicing under the Nursing Standards of Care and the Code of Ethics.

Completely disgusted how things are run at this hospital they are not set up for emergency situations and to help a severely disabled person
