We had the beef and grog and it was fantastic. My wife says it was the best beef sandwich she's ever had. Server was attentive, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was the perfect taste bud overload after the beef sandwich and poutine. We'll be back.
Went in for lunch today with my husband. It's busy so we had to wait until a table was free. After a big group left we had one of the 2 tables. We enjoyed our meals and beer is excellent. We will definitely be back
Although the beer selection is amazing, pints start at $10. Unfortunately my experience was poor with a bag containing about 7k of work electronics and cellphone was stolen from the table while grabbing a pint from the bar. They could use better placement and more security cameras as well as a door security person to keep sketchy people out. The food however is quite excellent. Go during the day and you should be okay
Came here for some food and drinks on a Friday afternoon. I ordered the Nashville chicken burger, what I got was a chicken tender in the middle of the bun, barely covered half of the bun. My wife got the buffalo chicken wrap. There wasn’t 1 piece of chicken in the wrap, the fries were also undercooked. Couldn’t really complain because our server didn’t return to the table for 45 mins after dropping the food at the table. We did return on the Saturday evening for drinks on way back to our hotel. The bar was lively and the service was good for how busy it was. Don’t think we’ll return for food though.
1. The last time I ate here, they gave me the fish and chips and told me they had no forks and I had to eat my meal with my hands. I quote, I was told, “the best I can offer you is extra napkins” - luckily I’m understanding of an understaffed culture. 2. They cater to the front bar patrons and the reserved tables. Rarely is it busy, and rarely is the service good when it’s slow. Lots of staff chatter instead of clearing tables and making sure your patrons are happy. 3. Every. Single. Time. I eat here at supper time, I am asked to clear my bill literally in the middle of EATING. Perhaps let your patron know you are almost done your shift instead of interrupting them on an important business meeting. This pub should be the heart of downtown and unfortunately is not the place it used to be.
Great atmosphere in the heart of Saskatoon's downtown. Massive beer selection including their very own line of 21st Street Brewery beers. My favourite part about Winston's is that you see people from all walks of life. Easily my favourite bar in downtown Saskatoon.
I will never go here again! The service was fine, the beer was good. But I have never been in a bar where it was OK to be racist. "He was lucky the guy was white, it would have been different if he was black" really how? Then I heard the "N" word...really???. I realized it was OK to voice this "opinion" there. I will never be back. I don't think any reasonable person should go there either
Well a buddy of mine said this was his favourite pub in Saskatoon and now I see why. From the moment you walk in the door you can see that this is no ordinary pub. The most amazing lighting, layout, wooden furniture and knick knacks on the walls. Our server was incredible! Funny, personable, helpful and assisted greatly in making it a wonderful experience. Thanks Marley. A huge selection of beer on tap and we both had the Yorkshire Basket, which I will say, was so tasty. I would recommend this place to anyone in a heartbeat.
Prices way up, food and drink quality and selection down. Service is worse than ever. And in the last few months, the beer menu rarely is updated, and most staff don't seem to have a clue what they even have on tap now, hard to order a beer if you don't know what's on tap. Still the biggest selection of craft beer though.
Stopped in for a drink in the afternoon after work. Great seating.. the bar was slow but the bartender was just the right amount of attentive. 10/10 will go again Edit; another visit. Still great service, I stopped in to say happy birthday to a friend and just grabbed a drink at the end of the bar. Decent speed as far as the pave of the bartop. Bartender was speedy and efficient and polite 10/10 will go again.
