WinCo Foods

The food is great as usual, everything is reasonably priced, and different selections of milk, eggs, meat, cheese, and other foods. The only problem I have is the lines which are quite bothersome when trying to pass through. I actually saw a robber at the store once (with the mask and stuff). Minutes later I hear the alarm and pretty sure he managed to leave. So security isn't too well. Anyways this place is amazing just to buy groceries, with semi-alright security, and a wide variety of food.

WinCo Foods is known for its kind staff, great selection, and unbeatable prices. This location is no different! This is where I choose to go for my weekly grocery shopping because I know they will have what I need at a good price. You're sure to find what you need in their many sections.

Once you have shopped here, you will likely return. They have much to like and their shelves are well stocked. Some prices are not competitive as you will find most places, but if you find certain bargains, your trip here can be well worth the effort. They have many stores in the area so if you like their items, then you will likely find them at other of their stores. Early morning hours are good for quick and less crowded shopping.

The sullen employees who can't be bothered to greet you are pretty standard for the Portland area I guess, but when they just stare at you and don't tell you the total like you're supposed to be Rain Man and already have added it up as you were shopping is a bit much. I'm old and I can't read your screen from the end where I'm bagging my own groceries because you're too cheap to hire employees to do those things... the least you can do is take the .0000005 calories of effort it costs and read the total so we can pretend that we live in a polite society where human still interact on at least the most basic level. I'd ask for a "thank you" afterward as well...why am I thanking YOU for just spending $400 on groceries at YOUR business when all you did was glare at me and smash my bread as you manhandled it across the scanner?...but I'm pretty sure that's far too much.

Usually I love this place, great prices and friendly service; today was another story. My partner went in today and was buying beer with a valid interim ID and was very rudely refused by the cashier as well as the manager. To top it off, the cashier was extremely condescending when he was paying for the rest of the groceries. I would expect more professional behaviour from their employees and management.
