I went here with my 11 month old who had a cough the last 2 weeks and was now spiking fevers (and didn’t want to go into the city...). It was easy to park. I was greeted the moment I walked in and was able to see a triage nurse immediately. We went from the triage room straight to our “full clinical” room. The wait time to see the next nurse and then the doctor was minimal. We got a chest X-ray, and the techs were WONDERFUL!! They were very nice and walked us through how to position my little one in the device to get her imaging done (it was a little strange, but the techs were great!). After, they gave my daughter a stuffed toy to cheer her up! Overall, I would say the experience was very positive! We got our diagnosis (pneumonia😢), antibiotics and out the door in under 2hrs. Everyone was very nice and competent. The only reason I didn’t give more stars is due to the take-home papers. They were pretty bad. They didn’t include ANY of my little ones vital signs, including weight. There wasn’t any information on the fact that she had a chest X-ray showing consolidation and a swollen lymph node. The doctor communicated well that this swelling possibly needed to be followed up with in a few months with a repeat chest X-ray, but nothing was in my paperwork to take to my PCP.

I walked out of this place at least 3 times without being seen. Once was when my daughter was 2 and couldn’t breathe. Two other times were for myself. Once I needed an abscess drained and IV antibiotics and another I had a respiratory infection. The most recent incident was 9 months ago. They signed me in and left me for dead. After waiting each time for over 4 hours I left and went to a city hospital where I was seen immediately based on the ABCs of medicine. And each time I received an insulting letter of apology from the president or a request to make a donation. Shove it. I almost went into respiratory arrest and had a leg amputation.

Waited for over 2 hours in emergency for my son’s fever. He got better before Dr saw him. ER dr could not find any issue then called a Paediatrician to confirm. No treatment was received except the Tylenol given by nurse. But we received 3 bills for this visit. 1ER copay, 2 for Paediatrician. Paid copay immediately and called hospital for the Paediatrician bill. Hospital said would review the bill, nothing heard back. Instead, the balance went to COLLECTION!!! Never go to WINCHESTER Hospital if you could.

It’s sad because I saw my son in pain and anybody did anything to help him. I got there around 2 pm and my boy screamed 4 hours. He was suffering from constipation he didn’t take one Tylenol while we were waiting for the procedure.

You will wait forever while the nurses sit on their ass and act like they forgot about you
