* Update. Dr. Muggia's office reached out and explained that the late test results were due to the lab not delivering my results to the office and Dr. Muggia being out of office for a week and a half. I will give them the benefit of the doubt since their office has been very courteous to me which is greatly appreciated. Perhaps this was a one off thing. My recent endoscopy procedure went well. Dr. Muggia and his team took great care of me.
The office was clean and wait time wasn't bad.
Dr. Muggia was friendly however the big issue here is receiving a call back from him. I had a simple lab test done June 21 2017 in which the lab tech said results should be available within 4-5 business days. As of today it is July 31st. I have been calling the office once a week since I left but still no call back. Each time I'm reassured that I will receive a call within the week. I highly suggest anyone reading this review to look elsewhere if they want their lab results in a timely manner. Over a month and still waiting for a simple easy test which took 10 mins in office.

I had a stomach endoscopy with biopsy but without anesthesia. I spent about 45 minutes at the office and everything went very quick and was very well organized. Nursing staff was very kind, but hurried. Kind of felt like being on a conveyor belt being wheeled around on a bed. The endoscopy itself took less than 10 minutes and that's basically the amount of time Dr. Muggia spent with me. There was another 15 minute follow up call where he asked me to come back for additional office consultations and tests. Felt like "upselling".
For the diagnostic endoscopy w/ biopsy they billed $2,450 for clinic/lab fees and $750 for professional fees. Blue Cross Blue Shield paid the contractual rate of $448.69 and $433.75. I still had to pay a deductible of $214.21 and $125.73. So $339.94 out of my pocket.
I find that billing $3,200 for a 45 minute diagnostic visit is excessive.
