Wimpy's Diner

I found this location through Google. My family and I were thrilled to go. The most visually appealing old-school restaurant I've ever been to! We had never heard of this place in Mississauga until now. We had a wonderful time, the meal was fresh, and the waitress was a wonderful person to talk to. Come by if you're in the Mississauga area! They provide breakfast, lunch, and supper all day.

Great food and service. Atmosphere was point on for a 50's dinner. Wonderful! And go hungry... the portions are huge! We took 1/2 home.

We just stumbled on this place after a long night of travelling with family and met father for breakfast with 2 young kids. The service was fantastic. The kind lady was very attentive to the kids needs brining out their food first, water with the orange juice so we could mix for the baby with out even asking. Our food came out quick and was quite tasty. But the thought and care that was put in after was what made this such a special experience. My 6 year old mentioned it was mommy’s birthday as we were going to the bathroom. As we were getting ready to leave she came out and they sing happy birthday to me had a piece of cake and candle to blow out along with a card from Wimpy’s and even made balloon monkeys for the kids we just arrived home from the Dominican. They also gave me a sweet gem pin. It was all so thoughtful and made the kids day. They also has a Christmas photo backdrop set up near the door where you can take pictures of your family with Christmas props. I didn’t get the name of the sweet lady who served us but I would highly recommend supporting this restaurant. Made our day!

*UPDATE* after owner's response seems like they lack total accountability and trying to provide cover ups. So unfortunate. Dropping rating to 1 star. 1. Wrong - we didn't finish the food. My wife reluctantly ate half her plate because she didn't want to cause an issue. When I asked her how it was, she said "very odd". Then I tried her food, and I immediately sent it back. 2. Wrong - we didn't get 'continuous refills' lol, we got our only refill after we had finished our food. thanks to the gentleman behind the counter noticing my constant looking around for a waitress and a different waitress who then stepped in to serve us. 3. Wrong - we don't need a compensation, or would have asked for one on the spot did you notice I tipped?. We were taken aback but the lack of common courtesy of offering a remake, or provide something else, even if we were to pay for it. Indeed a wimpy place. End of update. -------------------------------------- We had heard great reviews about this place going in. The eggs Florentine came with a distinct pungent smell and taste, felt like the spinach in there was thawed from frozen and maybe gone bad. When we brought it up to the not-so-interested waitress, she took a note of it but charged us for the item anyway. They didn't offer a remake or a replacement and we didn't feel like they cared. The coffee refill didn't come until after we were done eating. Also, they invoiced us for an extra coffee, which they removed when we brought it up. First visit...what an incredible experience!! A true "diner" atmosphere. It's clean with an easy-going ambiance and the tunes force you to chill and enjoy. Now onto the food! Deeeeeelicious. Great quality and quantity. I initially thought the prices were a tad high, until I saw the presentation and took my first bite. I am absolutely sure I'll have trouble finding a favourite. Lastly, the service...exceptional. From the server to the cook to the owner, all friendly and eager to ensure a great visit is had. I will most definitely be back!! Thanks Wimpy's

Exceptional. This is the second time we ate here and they really did a lovely breakfast. Good food, fair prices. These people really want your business and deserve it!

Had such a good breakfast experience with my sister and I. We had the best service by Kate, she is a queen and is so lovely. Her presence and quality of work is top tier, she’s one of the best servers I’ve had. The food was also really good, the home fries are to die for.

today me and my sister went out for brunch and we had kate as our waitress. not only was she great at serving and very attentive and nice but she was also serving looks! lol she is the best and i highly recommend if you ever go to wimpys to ask to be seated in her section ! she was also very funny and kept a smile on me n my sisters face the whole time, and made sure we were having an enjoyable experience! give this girl a raise !!!
