Service is usually great and food is always consistently good. Our go to items are the Mediterranean Chicken burger, Fish & Chips who would have thought?, White Spot Club and the beef dip. The dry ribs are excellent during appy hour as well as the Shrimp Gyoza. Updated: Service was excellent again even with reduced staff.
The food was ok I guess, I got the quesadillas and wasn't impressed but others at my table enjoyed theirs. The portions were good especially the beef dip!! I'm honestly writing this review for my nephew, and the other 5 of us agree!! The server Ashley was a wonderful server!! My nephew 11, said "Auntie, this is the kindest server we've ever had!! He's really gonna look after us!! And.... he did!! Thank you Ashley, you're a great server!!
So when you go into White Spot, you expect great food, and great service. Now, over the year’s the food has improved we used to get Chicken, Broccoli and Cheese Curry served cold in the center. The menu is pretty standard. Burgers, Sandwiches, fish and chips their club house is good! with a few seasonal items thrown in I miss my Buttermilk Chicken and Brie Sandwich : . Where this location fails is the service. It’s not consistently bad, nor is it consistently good. It’s mediocre. So, you start to debate whether or not you should complain, and that frustrates me. If it was bad all the time, I could easily complain in efforts to get management to fix it. If it was good, I’d eat there more. But the servers are not very attentive, and they seem to be forcing happiness. I don’t know if this is due to bad management, or being overworked, but it’s noticeable. Other than that, it’s ok. Would I recommend eating there on a consistent basis? Not a chance. Would I say avoid it? No. Like the service, it’s mediocre so it’s your call. The only thing I do recommend, is that you don’t go on a busy night. Dinner on a Tuesday? Sure. You’ll have a decent experience. Dinner on a Saturday? Get ready to be disappointed.
Came here for breakfast with my partner. Left without a breakfast. Our server came by to ask for any drinks to start with. My partner went first and said "I'll have both coffees but we're still deciding", to which was replied by the server "you mean one coffee?", He said yes. She took his order and immediately left, without next asking what I wanted. Second time she came by she came with his coffee and I told her she didn't ask for my drink order, she said she thought my partner was ordering for us, and my partner was saying to her "sorry, I jumped the gun." She didn't apologize. I asked her for tea. Third time she comes over, with the tea and asked if we've decided on food. My partner didn't felt like eating breakfast at the time, and he again went first and said not yet. She AGAIN ignored asking me and left. I decided not to order breakfast here and went to another place.
This is a very busy White Spot location. Lots of families with young kids due to it's proximity to activities. We came after 5pm just after Happy Hour so there was a short wait before we were seated. The server was obviously harried and while relatively efficient, I don't think she smiled once and she never did a quality check. The food was consistent with other White Spots I've been to.
Came here after another restaurant lost our reservation for a group of 6. Called ahead and they didnt take reservations. Got to the restaurant and put my name down. Seeing as there was maybe 4 other tables at the time, shouldnt take too long. In came a party of 10 behind me and they went on in...as they had a reservation. Then a party of 4 came in and were sat next, meanwhile we are waiting. The app where we check our standings even said I was number one on the waitlist, however they were being seated first. They then sat us bigger people in the booths where we couldnt sit and then had to awkwardly move us across the restaurant. After this whole seating ordeal, we sat down and enjoyed the food. Food was ok, nothing over the top. I am not giving a 1 as we did enjoy some of the food, and not a 5 due to the seating fiasco. I think it will get better, just need to learn how to either take reservations or seat in order as they arrive.
First time trying this location. We got to White Spot on a regular basis and usually stxik with burgers, fries and milkshakes. Got a Cobb salad for a change and was disappointed with it overall. The buttermilk chicken was dry and salty and was sorry looking on the plate. The salad greens were good but there was hardly any dressing. Had to ask for some dressing. Absolutely not worth the $ either. We also ordered yam fries that were limpy and not the same. Serive was good overall. I'd say stick with what they do right, burgers.
The FFEOOO is great....in the old days it was W.S. short hand for a Filet of Fish , Cheese Triple O Sauce....p.s. make sure no Tarter, Slaw Lettuce or Tamatoe.Food: 4/5
This is our go to family dinner spot, never disappoints. Staff always friendly, food always consistent.
I don't know what to say about White Spot, other than to say it's White Spot. For those unfamiliar with the chain, it has some tolerable burgers, bottomless fries, and a few tasty entrees. It's a little unreasonably priced, but nothing you'd really fuss over. You'll get your bill, huff slightly, roll your eyes, and not think about it any further. I've had casual business lunches here, family dinners, and even Skip the Dishes from here. Very multifunctional. The service is fine, but nothing outstanding. Food takes a little bit too long, but nothing to fuss over. A solid middle of the road restaurant.
