10/23/17 This park certainly deserves 5 stars. It is just gorgeous and every turn. It can get quiet busy with tourist though. I would recommend visiting as early in the day as possible. Expect a good amount of theist traffic in the afternoon and evening. There are plenty of historic sites, camp grounds and trails to spend as much time as you want.

My absolute favorite place to camp. We have been going here since 1978 and still find new hikes, places to go and new friends. Its a place to get away from the hustle bustle of life, and quietly enjoy all the outdoors offer. We took our children, and now our grandchildren, and they love it too. Our tradition is always Blackberry campground and the hosts are the best!!! A great place to experience all nature has to offer, good friends, family, and shopping and other attractions not far away.

White mountains area has a lot to offer in terms nature, activities and food. Lots of wilderness areas, trails, waterfalls, gorges, ski slopes. The area has ample opportunities for casual traveler as well as seasoned hikers and everyone in between. The area has couple of distinct activity and lodging areas. The people in the area are very friendly. Too many things to write about. I'll just say this, visit this area, you won't regret it.

We hiked Tuckerman Ravine Trail on labor day weekend. The trail was in fantastic condition. Beautiful views of waterfalls on the way up. Although its only a 4 - 5 mile hike to the top it is relatively strenuous since you are climbing about 4200 feet in that distance. With the change in altitude, prepare for a variety of different types of weather conditions. The top has a small cafe and a place you can get a shuttle back to the parking lot if need be ($30 per person). Highly recommend this hike... Made for some great memories!

I hiked the Flume before dawn. It was as if I was transported back in time. I highly recommend this hike but strongly suggest you hit the trial break of dawn... this is a high traffic hike and not fun if you hit the trail head after 9am. Go early and you will be able to take in the breathtaking views.
