Franconia Notch State Park

Amazing! Really beautiful scenery. Can get quite busy during peak times (people parking all over the highway). A little is lost from some of the hikes because the highway runs through the park, but on most you get away from the noise and sight quickly. The white mountains are as close as you are going to get to the Rockies on the east coast.

Beautiful and well maintained, a visit to the Flume Gorge alone is worth the price of admission. A wooden path suspended in the gorge leads you through a stunning natural chasm. Here the walls drip with moss and lichens. Even on warm days the air is cool within the chasm walls. People have been coming to Franconia Notch for over a hundred years, you should see it too.

Beautiful well worth the stop and ticket price. Not for anyone with walking difficulties. Lots of steps and a very, very steep grade to get to the flume. The entire park has lots to explore. There is the Basin just down the road for those needing an easier walk or assistance.

Phenomenal! Lovely place. Easy to walk and see the sights. Beautiful photo opportunities. Most attractions are right off the side of the road. Lots of signage to explain the sights.

Hiked the Franconia Ridge Loop going up Falling Waters Trail and descending on the Old Bridle Trail. Absolutely gorgeous views. Tip : Get there early if you want good parking (and a cooler hike) . There is little room to park and parked cars were overflowing onto I-93 on both sides.
