This was excellent! My family and I had a blast at the Polar Caves. There are animals you can feed, a gorgeous and expansive rock garden, very impressive climbing walls, and the caves themselves. One caveat, these aren't some extensive subterranean cathedrals filled with stalactites/stalagmites. They are glacial caves that require you to squirm and climb, which is amazing in its own way and GREAT FUN! The grounds are immaculate and well cared for, the staff are friendly and personable, and the gift shop is perhaps the best I've seen in NH. There was a wide variety of QUALITY mementos at very reasonable prices! I got a beautiful stone carved whiskey tumbler for only $8! We spent a week in the White Mountains and did all the big name things. The Polar Caves are among the top memories of our time there. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Fantastic place for most ages. It's going to be really tough for 6 years and under. We saw parents with infants try the caves with back holsters but even that was precarious. Absolutely amazing views and the staff went above and beyond every step of the way. The actual caves are physically intense, but you can skip them if needed. Bring water!! There's a lot more to do than the caves but I won't ruin the surprise. I can't wait to go again!

I visited over the summer. While the park is beautiful and fun, I was very upset by what I saw in the birds cages. Their waters were absolutely disgusting or even completely empty. It was sad to see the birds trying to drink filthy water. I would think they would change them each day but one bowl was even full of algae which indicates to me that it hadn't been changed or cleaned in a while.

I was skeptical at first when I walked in the main building. Seemed more like an iffy road side attraction. However, when we got to the main part in the park it proved to be well worth it. The caves are fun and boardwalks are well maintained. All in all, takes 2 hours.

First time we went to the Polar Caves I was expecting to just crawl under a few boulders. Don't get me wrong, this isn't Carlsbad Caverns with headlamps and ropes, but the trip through the various caves is a nice little workout, and they are some actual caves. Especially pleasant crawling around in 50 degree air after getting out of 85 degree heat. Lots of cool things in the gift shop, and I especially recommend the fudge.
