IHOP

From the couple of times I've gone during their slow hours weekday lunchtime, they've had plenty of options for good food at low prices, nice customer service, and a poor dining experience. Their food is good for its cost, almost every meal falls within the $10-$15 range. I've had one of their burgers and a egg scramble bowl. Neither were exceptionally good but they were cheap and came out quick, above average. I managed to get the same waitress both times, but she, along with others I've seen, are quite nice and attentive. The real problem I've had coming here is the interior. The first time I came, I found ants crawling around the table and seat. The waitress said that they come around every now and then. She brought me to a new table and basically brushed it off. The second time I sat at one of their small tables for one or two people, and it was uncomfortably small until I pushed the table away from the booth I was sitting in. For one person it's fine but I'd hate to be sitting there with someone else. Plus, the atmosphere was disappointing. The whole place is full of that modern-looking self-promoting imagery I find at plenty of fast food chains like McDonald's. I personally never enjoy dining in those establishments. I also couldn't hear any music playing during either of my visits, which made the building feel empty. Instead I listened to the waitresses talking amongst themselves around the kitchen. Vegetarian options: Menu labeled some vegetarian options. I didn't try one though. Dietary restrictions: Menu labeled some "gluten-restricted" options, not gluten-free. Not sure if that matters.

My husband had the big steak omelet and that was good, however, the other 4 of us had cold and soggy food. Not a good experience. Nothing like paying $70 for one good plate. :

Very odd experience. The waitress was nice at first. my husband asked about the unlimited pancakes. The waitress said it wasnt going on anymore, but then said if he really needed it she could do it for him. But she tried to make him feel bad about it. Which was rude and unprofessional especially since she was making it into a joke. She then asked if he wanted more pancakes and when she brought them again tried to make him feel bad and act like it was a hassle. The table next to us had ants all over it. We had two kids and only got one kids menu. When we were done and ready to pay the waitress told us to pay with her not at the front which was odd since every other Ihop you pay at the register. But after telling us that she never came back so we could pay. So after 15 mins my husband paid at the front. The food was good, but I will probably not be going back to that specific location.

Wasn't bad persay, but I wasn't super impressed. I can go anywhere else in Janesville and get a better breakfast and more variety. And the parking lot is a complete nightmare with the line from Starbucks blocking you in. You're going to sit in your car for hours just trying to get in or out if the Starbucks drive thru is busy.Food: 3/5

A nice coupon brought me here with a companion. The milk was very fresh, and the eggs were great, along with the hash browns, bacon and our respective fruity crepes and pancakes. Service was efficient and friendly. I see they have great 55+ and off-hour items. Tiny glitch in our bill, quickly made right. I hope to visit more often.

Always good service and we always get our food fast. Mostly clean, reasonably priced. Great for a family brunch.Food: 5/5

Waitress checked on us 3 minutes after receiving our food and then never came back except to give us our bill and to go box's. She was rude.Food: 5/5

Was treated more as an after thought to our waitress, no lettuce for a salad option- which I really would have liked, no mustard, extremely greasy low quality frozen burger patties, asked for extra crispy fries- came out grass soaked soggy and under cooked... Like cooked in grease not up to temp... Not impressed with this I hopFood: 2/5

Server was the best part of our experience. Breakfast is always good, I like their hashbrowns better than any others.Food: 5/5
