My partner nailed it when she booked the Tiny Home located here. Had everything we needed for a great couple of days of Mountain Biking great trailed and a perfect swim in the lake to end each day. We ran out of propane but Sarah was there in minutes had us fixed up. Great Host. Great place. Ever had a private porch to enjoy some alone time of have some folks over for an evening glass of wine. Highly recomend this place.
Sarah is very helpful and supportive of last minute arrivals! Clean campsite and decent facilities Rates have risen 35% during COVID and there don’t seem to be any late season or BC seniors rates! I was the solo camper Sept.16th and paid full summer rate. I have stayed twice at this well organized campsite 2019 and 2022 and will return in warmer times!
We had a great time at Westwood Lake for the 2nd year we stayed at the Cottage. Sarah remembered it was our anniversary and left us lovely hydrangeas to enjoy : The staff have been most helpful and the sites provide a nice atmosphere with personal touches like flowers, hedges and driftwood for privacy. Our friends left their campground in Parksville and got a great RV site at Westwood Resort on short notice. The location is perfect, a short walk to the lake, a place where summer memories are made!
Beautifully maintained, and managed by the owners. Most campgrounds we have stayed at feel like minimum input, maximum profit. Westwood lake RV resort was the opposite, as in, the effort to create an exceptional environment was apparent from the first moments. They treat it as if it is a passion project, and obviously take pride in their work. They don't tolerate obnoxious campers, but are also very fair in their approach to dealing with disturbers of the peace: you will get a friendly notice first, but if you ignore it, that's on you! We felt like family during our seasonal stay, and have no honest criticism which is extremely rare, I tend to nit-pick about the smallest details!. Ok, here's 1 criticism: they are booked far in advance! Book early or miss out...
I had a luck to rent a cabin at Westwood Lake Campground during the hotest days this summer. Stayed 4 nights and very happy that one of the 10 cabins was available. I had been greeting by Jeas with smile and welcome greeting and always she was asking if i need anythng and she was very helpfull to bring anything I asked. Thank you, Jeas. The cabin was very clean and had everything you need to feel like at vacation home. Very cosy design and the location is less then one minute from the lake. It is quite and safe location, very close to downtown. You can come and enjoy even without car as the bus to downtown only 4 minutes walk and there is Grocery store right at the bus stop in downtown and also next bus to BC Ferry. I really like this Campground and the cabin and the all freindly personal I met during my stay. I would like come back next time one day soon. Best regards, Larysa
Our family had a wonderful time here just recently in Le Cottage. It was a spacious and cozy cabin experience that included a fire pit and BBQ! We experienced top shelf hospitality from everyone that works there. This business has been in their family for many many years and during our visit went above and beyond to make it memorable. Very kid friendly area, where our children could ride around on bikes. When we asked about board games they supplied a few and everyone had a blast. They also assisted in chiropractic recommendations in the area because of an issue I was experiencing, bravo! Thank you for everything!
Sara and the team made our stay fantastic. We have family across the island and was the perfect meeting spot for a mini get together. Facilities were spotless, and super good swimming a 2 min walk down the road. One party rented the Le Cabin the larger one. Adorable and spotlessly clean. We will definitely be coming back.
We stayed at Westwood very nice campground very clean, the daughter of the owner checked us in and was very nice and bubbly even after check any interaction with her was great. Well let’s get to the father very rude no customers service abilities. He gave me trouble for washing my truck well I read the rules there was no rule stating that I couldn’t so. So I brought that to attention and he said that I should have known that I wasn’t allowed. He proceeded to tell me that I was ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE!! What ever that meant. Then when we were leaving we were buying ice from the daughter he looked at me and said we don’t have any ice to go down the street to buy it.
Best place to RV camp in my opinion. They are so accommodating!! Only booked 4 nights and wanted to stay an extra 4, and they moved things around for me to stay and not move. Lot 29 is epic!!
I stayed in the cottage and I had a good time. You have to pay for fire wood obvi and bedsheets you can buy food and stuff from the office. The cottage itself is very cozy and nice. Overall nice experience
