This isn't my first time dealing with this restaurant as myself and coworkers are frequent flyers to this hotel for work in the area. Once upon a time a few years back this restaurant actually made delicious food. Where we would actually eat in it every night. Ever since the new "chef" came in with his new menu, you will rarely see us eat here, let alone order anything aside from the chicken wings. Shepherds Pie is beyond overpriced. Where have you ever seen a smoked meat sandwich where the stack of meat was less than 1/2 an inch thick? Caesar salad with red onions and a caesar dressing that looks and smells more like a hybrid of a vinaigrette and beef broth. "Classic" poutine comes with gravy, curds, scallions and crispy onions?? Yet call it a classic. If you're looking for a good pizza you'd be wise to go find the Pizzaforno machine in town. Classic case of a chef trying to over glamorize already delicious dishes with a poorly executed twist. I do not recommend this restaurant anymore as it has changed for the worse. It's unfortunate frankly.
Phoned and asked if they have smoked meat sandwiches & was told yes Montreal smoked meat. What we got was a red cabbage & pickle sandwich with a mystery sauce and 1 shredded piece of dried rubber thin sliced deli smoke meat. For $17 plus tax with frenchfries with so much salt we didn't eat more than 1. This sandwich was disgusting. Disappointing and the sauce had such a bad smell & taste, I'm still sick today from 2 bites last night. False advertisement, disgusting food & waste of hard earned money.
Ordered from the guest express menu. Had the two egg big breakfast with tea. My boyfriend had the pancakes with fruit on the side and coffee. Was absolutely delicious and definitely recommend. Our server Christian was absolutely delightful and made us feel very welcome. Thank you for a great morning.Food: 5/5
Had dinner here as was staying at the attached hotel, super disappointing, didn't even finish my food. I only gave it an extra star as my breakfast in the morning which was included with a voucher was decent and my server was sweet. Edit: lowered this to one star, stayed at this hotel again for work and ordered a salad. Figured, a salads a salad right? Take a look at that salad…it was $21.36..before tip!! Seriously. It was like three bites of salad. Stop.
All those who work there act as though they would rather be elsewhere. We see it as much in the service as in the food. You'll never see us dining here again. The nachos were horribly untraditional, with squirts of mayo on top, black pepper on all the chips, and green slime in the pizza cheese for nachos?!. Need I add no shallots nor jalapeno in this staple entrée, but yellow pepper and Spanish onion? No salsa available excused the although friendly waitress... but no service for filling water and drinks and taking finished plates away ever!!. Long wait to get our cold food, it was very "UnBest Western" for us
Worst breakfast we have ever had , the eggs Benedict was disgusting couldn't even finish it. They serve warm orange juice which I didn't even drink. It's breakfast time an the ketchup bottles all were empty. They gave me in total 10 home fries with my eggs Benedict. Totally not worth the money & we will never go back & I don't recommend going to anyone either !!!
Not happy at all, yes it is a hotel restaurant, but charging $25.00 for a Sheppard's Pie is insulting! The owners should be ashamed to price gouge! Will NEVER order/dine here again!
The food here is absolutely amazing. The hotel is great too. Very clean and excellent staff
Had a lovely evening here, Christmas party spread as hosted by west winds. Fantastic. As well. I appreciated the inclusive environment and accessibility options for the deaf or hard of hearing.
Stayed at the hotel snowmobiling and ate here breakfast and dinner 2 days in a row. Food and service were fantastic each meal, Breakfast and dinner. Can’t wait to come back!
