Story

We are also a 1/2 block from the ferry terminal to Comox and Texada Island. The Westview Centre Motel offers 20 rooms, (Family-rooms, studios and one-bedroom suites), all located in the quietest part of our hotel complex, away from the main street. Guest rooms feature very clean amenities and new units are available, including free cable TV, free wifi, refrigerator and in-room coffee. There are 10 rooms with kitchenettes available.

Absolute perfect location and a great clean hotel. Walkable to all major sites, all within 15 minutes or less. Close to restaurants and sites to see! The room seemed newly renovated and the room was very clean and beds were comfortable.nThe manager responded to all our questions immediately, and was very helpful from start to finish. I’d stay here again.

I was there for a couple nights due to work, and I would highly recommend!nThis place is in a fabulous location 5 mins from the ferry station, on main street which is Marine Ave and the room has everything you might need with the little kitchen. Easy to check in with key-pad felt very secure and nice to have a person sitting at the front desk for any support you need. Only one tiny thing was the place was a bit steep but you can have a great oceanview and sunset ! I would definitely revisit this place again!
My experience with this hotel was not as positive as the other reviewers. I stayed here for a work trip and was quite surprised at what I experienced vs how the reviews made it sound.nnThe parking lot is more of an extremely steep driveway, with little or no room to maneuver larger vehicles or trailers. I won't hold that against anyone, but its worth noting.nnThe check-in process was slow, disorganized, and confusing. After insisting she walk me to my room for some reason, the lady was not able to figure out the access code and had to bring me back to the office for a backup key.nnOnce I was inside the ice cold room I found a rock hard foam bed that feels like those hard gymnastics mats we used to use in school, gaps in the door and flooring, a broken bathroom window, landlord special paintjob, wobbly furniture, etc.nnA while later the front desk lady knocked at my door, and when I answered she barged in wearing WET SHOES asking that I sign another sheet that promises I won't steal the kitchen appliances. Maybe I give off appliance thief vibes? Regardless I could have done without the wet foot prints all over the place.nnAll in all just disappointing and very slummy feeling. Not the warm, nice, quiet place I was hoping for.nnBut in fairness if you know what you're getting into, it has everything you need and the heater does eventually warm the room up. It also has a kitchenette which would be very useful to some people. And of course the location is great, right on the main drag near the ferry
Great motel close to restaurants and the ferry. Nice and clean and quiet with friendly helpful staff. 4 stars instead of 5 because the bed was rather hard.
