It’s rare I give a bad review to anyone but I need to give a bad review here to make other contractors aware before getting tools repaired here. First of all I was charged $40 to have them diagnose my cordless Paselode framing nailer which was misfiring on occasion probably just needed another service with a few parts. After a week they came back to me and said it would be $240 to repair. I said to them it’s ok I will go somewhere else to have it repaired/serviced and if they can just reassemble everything I’ll take it back. They then said it would be $240 to put it back together! So basically what this means is, they will charged you initially to diagnose and then put you in a dilemma to either pay what they are charging to fix it or give it back to you in pieces. None of this was discussed to me beforehand and seems a very unfair business practice. So I picked it up and brought it to Prime Fasteners where they repaired it for $120. First of all Prime Fasteners don’t charge an upfront diagnostics fee and it probably would have been cheaper again had I of not given it to them in pieces. You guys need to improve of your business model and your communication skills
Worst service ever. Was reffered here by KMS tools for ordering some simple brushes for a grinder. This has taken over a month now we're still waiting and these guys won't even offer a refund. Ordered another set on Amazon, will be here tomorrow. What a joke.
Owners of the store provide some of the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. One of them just yelled at me from the back with food in his mouth. Just dropped some drills off, hopefully they can fix tools better than they can treat customers. Felt like they didn’t want my business at all. Won’t be coming back here, just needed some service in a pinch.
My CP impact gun failed and I was referred to this location for warranty options. After inspection by the repair center, I was told it wasn’t covered. The owner here helped fight for me to get my tool fixed and repaired at no cost. Highly recommend it here!
If you have a Milwaukee tool don’t take it here for service I went to service my chainsaw 3 months ago and was supposed to be ready until October, I understand right know there is a lot of trouble getting parts from the states but from the get go when I took it 3 months ago I got no information of what was wrong with it, cero follow up or information about being so difficult to get the part need it, no really offered an option or alternate solution about replacing my tool, even though this is still under warranty, every time I wanted to follow up to check very condescending talking like they are actually doing a favor to me, even though that is their job and still under warranty. It’s s not the first time I had this kind problem at this place. So I walked it to the “Milwaukee factory service center in 9000 bill fix way Burnaby” to ask about if it was normal for a tool under warranty to take 5 months to get fixed or looked at and they where shocked. they have the best costumer service and within 30 min they resolve the problem and walked out with a replacement chainsaw which I use for work on a Daly basis. The best part is that after I got everything resolved in 30 min. by the “Milwaukee factory service Center at 9000 Bill fix way in Burnaby” , this guys at the West Coast Tools phone me to complain because according to them I was making them look bad because they didn’t give me a solution in 3+ moths for my 500 dollar tool that I need for work. This review doesn’t allow me to put cero stars so I guess 1 star will do.
I was told shipping for my $3 part would be waived. They lied. I was charged $17 for shipping a $3 after I specifically told them forget it if I had to pay shipping. So I was not requesting a free part. Lesson learned , get it in writing. I'll never deal with them again.
Fantastic service center with friendly, knowledgeable staff and techs. Everything you need to know is explained clearly along with what they can do to help you will vary from tool to tool obviously. You get a lot of information up front about the process which is important. The quality work they put into the tools they repair surpasses other similar businesses in the area by far. They don't cut corners and every repair is thoroughly tested before it leaves their facility. Definitely recommended.
It was a great experience. I really appreciate the text notifications with a link to the quote. The people there were always amazing on the phone when I called in as well. There is nothing they could have done better. Great job!
Horrible experience. Long story short it took them 3 weeks to do an hour of work replace a power chord the estimate they gave when I called in was 5 days. Two weeks after dropping off the tool they called to say it would be another two weeks and double the price they estimated because they had to special order the power chord which they said they had in stock when I called in. When I mentioned escalating the matter to management somehow they were able to locate the power chord and complete the job within the five days at the agreed estimate. estimated although now it had been 2 weeks without any action. No apologies for their service in fact they made me sign a waiver of warranty.
When a sick tool is brought into Westcoast Tool it is returned completely checked over and tested. Fantastic outfit to deal with. From my experience this is proven by the number of tools brought in daily for either complete service or warranty repairs. With confidence...use this company
