Had to order $400 to get the mobile delivered for free with the matching crib set. Everyone is giving free delivery nowadays. The button was slanted when we tried to assemble the mobile. I called customer service right away and their message was to send them a photo and a video so we can get the refund started even though I was within the return window. Then the agent who did not even say her name hung up on me when I questioned their policy. It’s been so stressful as my level of anxiety went up. They knew it was like that. And they make it impossible to return stuff when you buy it online. I never heard of having an authorization to return something defective after I spent $400 for a free delivery. With Amazon and everyone making it easy to purchase and return stuff, West Coast Kids is making it harder. It’s not worth the trouble to waste my time sending videos and pics. Be warned!
Unacceptable Customer Service at This LocationnnTo Whom It May Concern,nn**DO NOT VISIT THIS LOCATION.**nnWhile the store offers a solid selection of baby products, the appalling level of customer service at this branch is unacceptable. It’s clear that this location does not prioritize its customers—or even basic human decency.nnOn my first visit, things were fine. But the second visit was a nightmare. Some staff members made a half-hearted attempt to assist, but overall, the lack of professionalism was glaring. Whoever is responsible for hiring staff at this location clearly has no idea what they’re doing. Employees should be patient, courteous, and competent—not disinterested and careless.nnOne staff member, in particular, stands out for all the wrong reasons. A young woman wearing glasses was stationed at the counter, more focused on her studies than on her job. If you can't commit to your responsibilities, perhaps you shouldn't be working at all. Her attitude was nothing short of dismissive, and what’s worse, she decided to gossip about me behind my back when I sought assistance from others. This is beyond unprofessional—it’s disrespectful.nnTo the owner: You have a serious problem with customer service at this location, and it’s hurting your brand. Sending a generic email address to handle complaints is a cop-out. Instead of hiding behind email responses, it's time you take real action. Fire staff who clearly don't care about their jobs or the customers, and fix this mess if you want to maintain any shred of credibility.nnI demand the contact information for your head office. I will be filing a formal complaint directly, as this location has no business representing your brand in its current state.nnI expect a response with the required information within 24nnAngel G
We had the most pleasant experience at this store. Desiree was SO VERY helpful when we visited the store. We were undecided on which car seat to buy and she was very patient and explained the different car seat options. She also helped us fit the car seat into our car before we made our purchase. Thank you Desiree for making our decision seamless.nnWe will definitely be visiting this location again soon!
We had the best service from the sales person to the manager to the service gentleman who brought our large purchase to our vehicle! Despite us changing our minds several times on what we wanted, the staff were extremely patient, accommodating and professional. They also gave great advice/insights. Even though the store seems small, they had more selection of cribs and dressers than the Burlington location.
A colleague recommended West Coast Kids to us, and since our first visit, my wife and I have become regulars, not just because of their excellent range of products, but because of the genuine warmth and care we’ve consistently experienced.nnFrom the moment you walk in, the staff make you feel welcome and supported. They take the time to truly listen and offer thoughtful, informed advice. We never felt rushed or overwhelmed, even when choosing something as important and daunting! as the perfect stroller.nnWhile every team member has been fantastic, and I really do mean every one of them, a special shout-out goes to Karen. Her patience, knowledge, and passion for what she does are unmatched. Whenever she’s in the store, we know we’re in the best possible hands.nnAs an added bonus, we love knowing that by shopping here, we’re supporting a Canadian business that genuinely cares about its customers. Highly recommended!
