Wells Fargo Bank

All I wanted to do is to call the local Wells branch to see if they had any Euros to sell. Sounds simple, right? No. its not. Calling the number, I got vx mail asking for my account. I only have a safe deposit box with Wells and will never have a Wells account because of experiences like this. In any case, I have to pound out to talk to a live body who hasn't any clue what the branch number is. She wants to transfer me to another 800 number where no one seems to be able to provide me with the local number of the WF 5th Ave Mall Branch and in particular with the number of the person who handles the FX. I can't look up the local number on either the web or the Yellow pages so I have to drive downtown to walk in personally to find out if they have an Euros to sell. What service. They should post 1-800-GET-LOST as their primary vxmail response line. It accurately describes their new customer service response.
