I went down there to reinstate my guardianship over my mother. The paperwork was confusing. But Ms. S. Benford was so nice. No matter how many mistakes I did she pointed them out with the calming voice. She kept on saying we gone get this right. Frustrating and all . Ms.S. Benford kept a smile on her face. Thank you

Very unorganized, confusing facility and rude workers. Same people talking to clerks for over an hour why we all wait. 5 Clerk windows but only people at one or two. This 3 hour ordeal of being called to clerk window, told to fill out forms, go pay cashier, come back fill out more forms, go pay cashier again ALL JUST TO GET A G$%^AMN COURT DATE! On the plus side the clerks seemed to perk up just before lunch and actually start working.

Possibly the worst run department in Wayne County Government. I deal with the courts, the register of deeds, assessing and they all are satisfactory. The Probate Department however is the most inefficient operation that I have observed in Wayne County. Even their published statistics on their website illustrate the not just poor performance but worsening. Number of cases down, number of scheduled hearings down, number of filings down...but average wait time up 700% from 2008 and 40% from 2015. The county needs money right? People waiting to get served and getting turned away equal dollars lost.

The employees here is completely Lazy! Don't expect good service from the Lazy employees!
