Waupaca Woods Restaurant

I love the Waupaca Woods! We’ve visited many many times over the years and they have the best pancakes and just generally delicious breakfast they have lunch and dinner too, but we love breakfast. I love the French toast and delicious hash browns. Very delightful, friendly service as well.

Their pancakes were so delicious! They also had huge portions for the add-ons!

Great service and amazingly good food! It has been a really long time since I have been able to eat here. It used to be the best. And it still is the best! Amazingly good food and great sized portions sure to fill up everybody. The broiled shrimp and haddock is the best you can find!

We were there on a busy Sunday morning. Our server was very slow. We noticed other customers getting water, menus and silverware delivered by their servers while we waited. After about 10-15 minutes, I got up to grab some menus. She saw me and told me she was just headed over. We had to ask for water when she finally came to take our order as it had never been delivered to our table as is customary at this establishment. We waited and waited for our food. We finally asked the hostess/manager if she could check on our food as we were waiting over an hour and the waitress was clearly avoiding us. Not once had she come over to our table and ask if we wanted anything else while we were waiting, or apologize for the long wait. We saw the hostess ask her about our food, she went into the kitchen for the first time all morning we had noticed the cook kept having to bring her orders out and there it was all ready! Luckily it was still pretty warm and tasted very good. Bottom line, food is good, service is not. at least it wasn’t on this particular day!

Waupaca Woods is a hidden gem! In the corner of a strip mall, the main entrance is in back with a small parking lot. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming with a lovely fireplace along one side. But the main attraction is the food. It is fantastic, homestyle cooking. They serve breakfast all day along with a lunch/dinner menu. I highly recommend their pancakes if you're in the mood for breakfast. They're also known for their Reuben sandwich. Offered as a special, their meatloaf is wonderful.

This place is a gem! Ultra value with large portions & excellent service. Only suggestion would be to use butter on the toast instead of whatever type of spread they use. Regardless, we'll be visiting again.Food: 5/5

Let's start at the beginning- Google Maps takes you to the entrance that it shows in Street View, which is the REAR of the building. The FRONT is the corner of a strip mall that is attached to a larger store. Either way, Waupaca Woods is the Mall, and the restaurant is INSIDE. The waitress was attentive and genuinely helpful. The 4 Piece Broasted Broasted Chicken dinner was sooo good! Crispy, juicy, and mine came with an extra thigh instead of a wing, which made it even better. The potatoes were probably from a box, but they were done correctly- not dry or salty or soupy - just right - and available with chicken gravy. The beef soup was nice and thick, and the flavors were incredible. This will be a place to go back to!

The portions where rather large. Lack of flavor. Prices are rather high for what was ordered. Took 6 minutes for her to find menus for us to use. 9 minutes to bring our drinks back that sat in the counter, 31 minutes to get our first part of the meal and another 6 minutes to bring the last plate and side for the other person. The American fries are just chunked sounds. The hashbrowns were soggy, the steak was cooked to far and no seasoning at all, the Ruben was way over done. The over easy eggs the whites were runny. Not very impressed. Heard good reviews but our experience was anything of. The plates looked good but when you bite in lacked.

Love there food and service, It's a place me and my family and I have been eating at for over a decade plus.
