Rose Garden Family Restaurant

This restaurant has a very local café feel. The atmosphere is very lively with everyone who comes in to have breakfast.nnOur waitress was very polite and constantly stopping by to see if we needed anything. She also helped us hide the evidence of what we ate.nnI had the meatlovers skillet with over easy eggs and wheat toast, while my friend had strawberry waffle. The toast was on the small side but everything else was decent. My friend said her strawberry waffle were amazing though. The waffle itself was light and fluffy she said. The sauce that they served with it she said was delicious. No syrup needed according to her.

I got two eggs, bacon and wheat toast. Eggs are done perfectly. Bacon was kind of crappy. Why do cooks put a weight on bacon and make it flat and overcooked. Soup was excellent.nnIt happened again server brought our food and we didn't see her till many minutes after we were done eating. We both went to the bathroom after we're done eating separately and the server still didn't show up.nnAnother reviewer said the bacon was flat and overcrisp.

My husband and I decided we wanted fish. The Rose Garden has some of the best beer battered deep fried cod!! The cod pieces are definitely fillets, nice and thick. Never dry. They're made to order too which I love. No heat lamps or pre-made orders. The Cole Slaw sometimes has a bit too much sauce and not enough slaw but it is decent. The fries are always good here. We had salads this time around and I was a little disappointed. There was only one slice of tomato on a bed of salad with quite a few croutons. However, I love croutons but I wish there was maybe a slice or two of cucumber and another slice of tomato.nOur waitress was friendly and attentive.nI highly recommend this restaurant for the fish fry. They also have a decent full menu and daily specials. Their soup is homemade and delicious! Their prices are reasonable and affordable.nWe'll be back!

Food was wonderful! But you need different waitresses. I have never had such an UNPLEASANT experience with the wait staff there. Walking in, we immediately got the vibe that we are an inconvenience. The waitress we had made no attempts to make us feel welcome and it was such a hassle trying to even get her attention. When we did get her attention she made snide comments to another worker there. Very unprofessional.

The food was really good and the eggs were really good and fresh. I think they were farm fresh.
