The best “The Burger” I have ever had in my life. Delicious! Waitress was very sweet. I was very happy with our experience. The view was very cool and the inside was awesome. Wish we didn’t life 5.5 hours away. We would definitely be back. Also had dessert and 2 beers. $81 before tip. Not the worst
Great food, cool place, decent view, a bit expensive but not the worst. Kind of a small menu but everyone enjoyed their food. Fries were some of the best I've had, especially with the garlic aoli sauce. The meat was delicious and juicy. Peanut butter pie was great, maybe a little small. Flatbread was really good! Calamari was decent, but I've had quite a bit better. I'll go again! Parking: Parking garage and limited street parking
Despite the atmosphere being very loud, the food was delicious. I ordered 2 small plates, Tuna Poke and Veggie Potstickers. My family was sat right by the window over looking the water. I wouldn't suggest bringing kids here, due to the loud noise. For dessert they do have a vegan option: Chocolate Chip Brownie with Coconut Whipped Cream.
Finest establishment in Winooski for a fine dinner and a delicious cocktail. Always excellent service and top notch menu with continually rotating specials to keep it fresh and exciting! So grateful to have this spot in my area. Highest recommendations on all levels!
First and foremost, I must state how accommodating the restaurant was. We are visiting on our honeymoon and setting a reservation wasn't on our minds. We were able to still get a seat despite being packed. The staff was delightful and ambiance was a memory in the making. Now to the important bits. The restaurant boasts a large drink menu, surpassing it's food choices, in many cases, my experiences have taught me that this means the food is an after thought. I must say, this was not the case. I made the decision to try the lobster and shrimp scampi at a respectable albeit on the high end of 33$. The dish was nothing short of delightful, the sauce complimented with hints of fresh mint and perfectly cooked pasta. The lobster was well seasoned and cooked with expertise typically found ocean side. My husband opted for the steak and fries. While he asked for his steak for medium rare, it was medium. This happens to the best of kitchens and I won't tag them too hard for this. The fries were done with perfection. He was originally skeptical of the garlic when ordering. Garlic is often overused and in turn does little to improve the experience. Again, I am happy to say this was not the case and they were delightful. For desert, I opted for the gf chocolate cake. Elegant and delectable are perfect words to describe this. The raspberry coulis that adorned the plate was magic when added to each bite. A must have if you choose to make this a destination, and for nine dollars, it's worth it just for the treat. My husband chose the ice cream. I must tag them here for the presentation. While it's very clear this was a store bought frozen cup of ice cream, they would do well to at least put it in a bowl and elevate it. The cup of ice cream was 4$, and after an 90$ meal, his desert seemed that of an after thought rather than the final chance to grab the customer and bring them back for more. All in all, 4 stars is perfect for this restaurant and absolute recommendation for those special occasions.
From start to finish our experience at Water Works was terrific. We arrived early for our reservation and was greeted warmly by the hostess on a very busy night. She promised to notify us when our table was ready and we had a drink at the bar. The bartender, despite working at a frantic pace treated us like friends and took the time to chat just a little. He made us feel welcome. I had an excellent local beer and my wife had a very good Mai Tai. When our table was ready we were seated at a window table looking out over the river. The restaurant is beautiful top to bottom and the view was spectacular. Randy, our waiter was such a nice guy. He also was very busy but took just the extra few moments to chat with us and help us make perfect dinner selections. I had visited this restaurant many years ago before it was shuttered and then reborn. When the owner, David heard that I had been there in 1984 he came to our table and sat down for a nice chat. He told us of the history of the building and how he brought it back to life some years ago. He's done a magical job of creating a wonderful atmosphere in a historic building. Winooski is a very cool town. Water Works is top of the list of you plan on visiting. I commented on the friendly atmosphere later as we were leaving to the hostess and she completely and unguardly agreed that David has created an environment where everyone on the staff is happy. The truly love David and that really translates in the dining experience. We left feeling really great about everything. The food was great. The people were great and the place is beautiful. Thanks
Absolutely stunning venue! We came here for drinks but took a peak at the menu. Definitely will be back! Drinks were crafted specific to our wants. The waiter was great and patient with our order. Can't wait to come back!
My wife and I had our intimate wedding reception at Waterworks last month and we cannot say enough wonderful things about the experience and the staff. The care and attention they gave us and the guests was absolutely top notch. Everyone was and still is raving about the service from our two waiters, who were so attentive and kind. The food was incredible, with many guests saying it was one of the best meals they've ever had. The event coordinator, Maria, was such a pleasure to work with and did a fantastic job decorating and making the space look incredible. If anyone is looking for a wedding venue or a reception space, you need to book Waterworks! Thank you to all the staff at Waterworks for making our day amazing!
Anniversary meal, they treated us great. Wife said steak and salad were some of the best she has had. Really fun place.
Beautiful location on the Winooski Falls but very expensive restaurant with mediocre food. My salmon was well cooked but flavor wise just ok. My husband had lobster and shrimp scampi; everything was overcooked. The lobster was so over done that he thought it was chicken. The drinks while expensive were very good with a nice alcohol ratio. The service was excellent. My husband's meal was discounted when he let the server know that his meal wasn't good. I had high hopes for this place but it unfortunately was a disappointment.
