Water's Edge Restaurant

I don't think that this restaurant is worth a 4-star. I have been to this restaurant three time hoping that there will be a change. I can't believe that people give this place a good rating (maybe the location). The location is stunning but everything else is below average. There are other restaurants in town that are amazing and would never disappoint you with their food and are way cheaper. The staff are okay, drinks are so so.

Entered the restaurant and was welcomed by the hostess, not sure of her name. Although the restaurant was incredibly busy, she still did her very best to accommodate us as a walk in. Despite not being able to sit right on the "waters edge", we still had a very nice view of the water from our table under the canopy. Our wonderful server, Nadia, arrived to the table after we got seated to inform us of the specials and get us some drinks to start. The food was delicious, we had the pickerel and prime rib specials, perfectly done! For dessert we had the homemade walnut butter-tart, massive and made in house by the chef! Overall, a wonderful dining experience right from hello!!

I say this review without prejudice... The food came out cold, and took way too long to prepare. It was even more disappointing when the meal I had was bland and over cooked (how they managed that I will never know). The staff doesn't take complaints seriously what so ever. I am also pretty sure some of the reviews are written by the owner, staff and family/friends, to inflate their review. Would not recommend... Response to owner: For someone who doesn't have anything to do with the reviews of your restaurant, you sure have taken a great interest in the reviews. You remember me well? Oh, how many were at my table? You said all the customers at this table, but I ate alone? Sounds to me like you are lying through your teeth. The honest owner who doesn't inflate reviews, here making up stories? If asking for a properly cooked dish and not tipping is verbal beratement... then I guess? Also, I never once said anything about the price to the server, in addition I never ordered pop, I had a water, so again, lying. Nor, did I ever declare I wanted anything taken off the bill. This right there folks is why I don't recommend. This is the level of immaturity that the owner will stoop to, to deal with legitimate criticism. "I don't like their review, better make up a horror story customer experience to devalue their review", classy bunch of people running this establishment...

My friend and I went here for dinner tonight July 21,2017 and we were greeted at the door by Katie she made us feel so comfortable as she walked us to our table by the water and was very nice to us. Our waitress was friendly and took our order's for drinks and our meal in a very timely matter.We both order the Waters Edge Caesar Salad to start it was so fresh and delicious .We then got our dinner entrees ,I ordered the Waters Edge Chicken and my friend ordered the Tender New York Strip Loin Steak. Both of our meals were both cooked to perfection and my friend commented it was one of the best steaks she has ever had.The waitress came back to our table several times during our meal to make sure everything was OK and to our satisfaction,and if we needed anything.The owner Shauna came over to our table as well to say hello which made our time at the restaurant perfect.The view and the atmosphere cannot be beat.We both highly recommend this restaurant and we will be back again and again. Recommend calling ahead to ensure you have space to dock and sit. Can be very busy during sunny summer days. Private dock is great to boat over and have a lunch or dinner. Owner is friendly and accommodating of allergies and dining preferences when given the opportunity. Look forward to eating here each summer.
