This place was incredible before they closed shop due to covid but now their prices have greatly increased with way less inventory. I'm hopeful they will reopen and get back to how they use to operate as we've always enjoyed this place.
When the store was open pre-covid it was great to buy random stuff for cheap, lots of odds and ends. Now its all online with maybe 10% of the inventory they used to sell in person. Hope they open the physical store soon.
Really helpful staff, they'll help you carry items to your car if you need it. The selection is sporadic so you'll have to go frequently if you want to catch any great steals. I was able to get some really solid wooden chairs to refinish for my dining room for an unbeatable price. Also a really good resource for people who want to provide supplies for students in need.
Excellent this place is a gem always different merchandise friendly staff ... I am always excited when heading out to see what I can find at this place ....
I literally cannot give this place enough stars. First of all, their staff is amazing. They are friendly and will help you find something you are looking for if they have it. Next, the prices. They price things to get them moving, I rarely find something that seems too expensive. You can find great deals and for a new business owner that is HUGE. We are so thankful for all of our purchases and have brought many friends. Thank you WA State Surplus staff!
Somebody needs to teach the management here about professionalism and basic courtesy. Maybe this review can be your first lil baby step.
Prices are great. Items are definitely used, but we drove 110 miles one way to shop here, left with a pickup full of used, but high quality office furniture for $50. Chairs were 1/2 off that day, seems like they have specials frequently. The stuff here is from schools and government offices, so it's name brand but probably not the most stylish.
Random items with the occasional great find. Recently started to vacuum seal multitools, so you can't really see what you get. Also have online auctions for big ticket items. Lots of parking, pretty good range of days and hours. Fun place to spend a half hour regularly.
Not sure what kind of review I want to give. I recently purchased a 2011 iMac. It was a great find and reasonably priced with a keyboard and mouse, yet it does not work. Both gentleman reassured me that it is fully functional, but I’m not too sure. If the computer works, then it should turn on and work fine, not blast this loud beeping sound even after putting the installation disk inside. So my concern is, if the iMac was checked and “booted” up fine... how come it’s not now? That means the technicians had this same issue and sold it to the general public as is so no one can bring them back. After I bought ram and spoke with apple care, it has a faulty hard drive and needs to be replaced. Why wasn’t anyone honest about what’s wrong with it before purchase? To all those who are going to purchase any tech from them, please do your research and ask questions!
Purchased an item off the Govdeals.com website and picked it up at Washington State Surplus. They were very helpful and answered all my questions about how the auction process worked.
