WashDay Laundry Centre & Dry Cleaners

Just moved to Whitby in Feb. Needed a laundromat and searched for one on line. Very cautious about trying out Washday due to some of the poor reviews, however it is closest to my home. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! I mentioned this to the owner who was helping me navigate the machines during the first visit about my “surprise” and he assured me he and the staff have taken the few negative comments to heart. What more can you ask. Anyway, I will be back as the machines are great ( big ) and the place was clean. If in doubt, try this laundromat yourself.

We've been going here for just over a year now. Love this place. I can get all my laundry done in under 2 hours instead of the 5 or 6 it would take me at the apartment. Lots of washers available, always clean. Took advantage of the wash and fold option and they did an excellent job. Would highly recommend this establishment.

The descriptions validate my own experience of when I applied in person once, in the Summer of 2012. From what I read and saw, the place didn’t look like it deserved my high regard so I went there dressed a little too casual (like I was a customer) expecting to be treated with some modicum of decency even if it was a sort of polite rejection - I wore short pants and flips flops and because the owner is how he is, he just glared and showed me his short temper and how uncivilized he is. Clearly not 'from here' and does not understand the Canadian way of interacting – definitely is in want of social skills. The place is a treacherous dump and it’s a shame that they are somehow still operating. Go figure.

A very well managed laundromat! Lots of washers and excellent dryers! Never very busy and easy to find washers and dryers. Free parking and Wi-Fi! Prices are reasonable and they offer pick up and delivery!

I've been a customer here since last year, for the Wash, Dry & Fold service. Drop it off, pick it up. Its always organized, easy to put away and as far as cost goes, well I've gone much further away and factoring in gas, got far less for the dollar elsewhere. They are willing and do, use a laundry soap I provide, and don't add fabric softener as I don't want the chemicals. I'm busy, travel often, and they always try to accommodate any time requests, when possible. I'm not the only customer and I realize there is a randomness to how swamped they can be on some days. Be realistic. Some of these complaints on here are just not realistic expectations. I highly recommend.
