Walpack Inn

We love this place. Food is great and so is the service. However this trip was a Little different. We waited until the grandchildren were old enough to enjoy this restaurant. We looked forward to watching the deer come within 15 feet of the building to be feed. But this visit there were several boys playing catch with a football. And people wandering all over taking pictures. This was very disappointing. We really hope the management will consider stopping this practice. Boys can play football anytime. Not on the restaurant lawn.

Excellent steak, juicy and cooked just right. Way better than the famous "Morton". Nice brown bread, fresh salad. Great dessert. The view is astounding and impressive. Rustic decor very impressive. A very busy place yet the server was very nice. Totally worth the drive for the experience.

What a wonderful experience for my family and my son visiting from North Carolina and his two friends visiting from Japan and Minnesota. The only request I got from the boys (when deciding where to go) were that they all wanted a really good steak. OK! After looking through all our options we decided last minute to make reservations here not really knowing what to expect. Well, it was the best decision we could have ever made!!! It truly far exceeded all of our expectations. The food, service, inside rustic atmosatmosphere and it's breathe taking views where the deer actually come up to graze to view through the huge windows while you eat were all a truly amazing experience for all of us and one we will definitely remember. My husband and I are looking for to going back ourselves. 5 stars all around.

Always a great experience at one of our favorite places! The food is consistently fresh and wonderful, the atmosphere is special and the staff is professional, fun and friendly!

This restaurant came highly recommended. Unfortunately, dinner fell short of expectations. The hostess estimated a table for 2 would be available in 30 minutes -- it ended up being a 90 minute wait. The Filet Mignon was shockingly dry, even though it appeared to be cooked to the right temperature. Overall, given the price point, we will not be back.
