I tried to exchange a projector today. I got a bad one on boxing day. I was kindly told to go get a replacement. I did that. She scans the item and serial number for the echange. Then proceeds to insist that i owe approx $31.50 more if i want to exchange my poorly built projector because it is no longer on sale. I even asked the door greeter if i was thinking out of line. I explained how if thats how the transaction would go that i would simply cancel the sale out right and go about my day. Which is what happened. Now your exchange policy has become worse than shipping things back to amazon. I would have asked for a manager. But i was taken aback and annoyed. This was not a new staff member and this situation seems out of line.
This Walmart has no relationship with the surrounding indigenous community. The door people only stop indigenous people meanwhile when a Caucasian person walks by and the alarm goes off they let them go on. The people in the self checkout watch indigenous people to make sure they scan everything meanwhile they don’t do that to the Caucasian people. The employees follow indigenous people around the store. I get that indigenous people have stereotypes of low lifes and thieves but it’s 2022 Walmart. Indigenous people are getting educated and probably make more than Walmart employees. I know for a fact that I do. So Wetaskiwin Walmart, do better.
My visit to Walmart today “sept 3rd.” There we’re only two tills open so lines were backed up. The clerk was causing a lot of backlog by not putting through the next persons items until everything was in the first persons cart. When I asked if she had any dividers to put between each customers purchases she advised me they hadn’t used them in years. She had an extremely bad attitude and made you well aware she wasn’t pleased about working. Maybe she should retire.
3 stars because well its a walmart and anything can happen. If you plan to look here for Pokemon Cards or some Dragonball cards you might as well go to Leduc or Red Deer locations. They rarely have anything on the shelves for said cards and the stuff that is there is either scraps or opened up and taken. Went to check a few times during a shipment date and someone had already purchased it. For all other generic items, they're fairly good at keeping those stocked up so there's that. Photos for passports are not worth it at any walmart, usually need to get them retaken.
"Ok" store. Fairly clean. Washrooms not the cleanest. Very dated store. Typical Walmart prices. Kind of a depressing feeling about the place though cus no one working here smile at all. They all look miserable like they really hate working here. I couldn't find one staff member smiling. No friendly chit chat at the tills or anything. Just get a gloomy feel being in here. I may have given it too many stars, but I was trying to be fair. I would not come back here unless I had to for cheap prices.
I'll give Walmart 4 stars. The Dougall Avenue location In Windsor is always clean and the staff friendly/helpful. I had a very good experience in the automotive department in the spring of 2018. Heading to Toronto and with a nail in my front drivers tire, Performance Ford who brand themselves as a Luxury Service and where I bought my car flat out told me that my car couldn't be seen prior to my departure a day later. Upon calling Walmart they told me to bring the car in saying "a job like that would only take about 15 min max". I brought it in and they were right ... within 15 the nail was removed and the tire repaired. As a valued customer of Performance Ford, & after explaining my situation, they wouldn't see fit me in for 15 min? Two thumbs up to Walmart.
Good parking lot, the supplies runs out of existence so fast for some products but good enough for a small city
Best place to shop & the prices are very affordable, as a mom of 2 this is my go to place for everyday essentials & great deals
Many items placed over the wrong tags, hard to budget when you have to try to figure out what the actual price is because tons of things are wrong. Hate that there are short belts and they start the next customer well your try to bag your own groceries.
The employees at this Walmart are always so friendly. They don't hesitate to say "Hello." They will let you know where items are if you can't find them. The store is always clean & well stocked. If you know your food prices, you'll be able to find some great low-priced items. They just recently re-paved their parking lot & it looks great.
