Great shopping experience! The store is well-organized, staff are friendly and helpful, and parking is convenient. Always find what I need here. Highly recommend!

Grocery shopping is always a real good time when you go to the only place in Cape Breton that has slightly cheaper prices than anywhere else. We need more competition here as we only have Walmart, Superstore and Sobeys , no frills and Foodland. All very pricey stores.

It was worst experience today at Walmart Sydney river.nnI bought icecream and it was displayed $6.97 and there was no other sticker, when I scanned it was shown $8.47. I bought when I saw 6.97.. they didn’t do a price match and were saying 6.97 was instead a different icecream tag and your product had no tag present on the shelf. They didn’t honour the price on shelf, didn’t compensate which Walmart does and asked me to pay 8.47 what was on Walmart website. Pathetic. People buy what you write and if it is a mistake, Walmart should suffer not the customer. Even managers were rude not honouring pricing issues. I called manager’s supervisor and they got me another dept manager. Pathetic experience.

The shoppers fulfilling online orders are the absolute worst and have no idea about the products they're selling. I ordered corn beef hash and instead they gave me a can of beef stew... why they think thats an adequate replacement is beyond me.nnbut thats on me for not minding my substitutes... so my next order I explicitly tell them if something is unavailable just refund and do not substitute. They didn't listen to my instructions at all and gave me Miracle Whip instead of Mayonnaise. What was infuriating is I was at the store less than 5 minutes after receiving the order because I live only 700m away and they had walls of HellmansnnThey just don't care at all.

Lots of racial profiling. Workers will glare and stare at your more if you happen to look a certain way.
