I'd like to share my appreciation towards Nancy and Sarah, whom I had the pleasure of dealing with today. I, as a bigger man often struggle finding clothes I can feel good in. After a couple failed attempts of finding something my size, I approached Sarah at the counter in search of help. She did not hesitate, to help me go through options and what they had in stock to find exactly what I was looking for. I had no idea what I was looking for My over all experience was amazing thanks to Sarah's help and Nancy's positive attitude. I look forward to returning in the future. It's not very common to get great customer service like I did here today.
Not many choices for sizes unless your size 7.5 or 10.5. Was forced to buy a boot I didn't want. It was the only boot they had in size 9. They ended up hurting my feet. I tried to exchange them a little over a month later l, but they still hadn't got any size 9 in any style of work boot. I was told to order online. I guess I'll be buying through Amazon. I think I'm done with Marcs in Sydney. I tried 4 times to buy boots here, and everytime I've had issues. They keep on using the excuse that it's corporate that does the orders, this sounds like just ponding off responsibility.
I went into this store on my lunch break with a photo, the name of the item and the SKU in hand and I was still there for over half an hour because they had no one on the entire sales floor to help customers. The cashier that directed me to the proper location in the store was nice and helpful enough, meanwhile the only shoe employee had to be called from out back since I was still waiting after 20 minutes for someone to come help me. I located the item I wanted on my own and they had no sizes on the floor anyways so I had no choice but to wait. Surely with all of the people currently looking for work a multimillion dollar company could afford to properly staff their store fronts? I feel bad for customers and staff who must also feel the affects of lack of staff to complete tasks and help customers in a timely manner. I’ll be shopping online from now on even though I prefer to shop in person.
I went in to exchange a pair of boots for a pair a half size larger. The line for the registers was long at least half way to the back of the store and was moving very slowly. When I got to the cash, the clerk was really good. Very helpful. She called for an associate to find one of the two pairs in the size I was looking for that were in stock. Then we waited. Well I waited off to the side while she rang other customers through. After 10 minutes she called the associate to find out what was happening.nnAbout 5 minutes later he wandered up to the cash and had a really brief exchange with the helpful clerk. He then wandered off towards the shoe area.nnMore waiting, waiting, waiting 10 minutes? 15?, She calls him again. Apparently he can't find the shoes and can't be bothered to let us know.nnThe clerk says she'll credit the shoes back. She can order the replacement size and have it shipped to me. I drove almost 2 hours to get here. I want to get this done now. So I go back to find a replacement pair of work shoes. Of course they don't carry any other styles of slip on safety shoes. I find a pair of lace ups in the size I want, try them on they fit! and it's back to the cash.nnAs soon as she is finished with the current customer, she rings me up and gives me a 10% discount for the huge amount of time this all took. I pay the difference, thank her and I am off to the car. This took an hour. My wife went into Michaels when I went into Marks, and has been back to the car and on her phone for 45 minutes.nnThe only thing that kept my blood pressure from popping out my eyeballs was that helpful cashier. Why is every visit to Marks so hard?
There is something for everyone at Mark's, great, quality clothing and footwear, they have a wide selection of work gear for any weather. Nice, casual clothing for the whole family, Mark's is definitely one of my favorite stores.
