Walmart Sydney River Supercentre

Yesterday, I needed to pick up some groceries, so I went to the Walmart on Grant Lake Road. Because I had just moved to Sydney, Nova Scotia, I did not know where to go to purchase Indian groceries, thus I was pretty confused about where to look. To tell you the truth, I had a wonderful day, and I want to express my gratitude to the employee named Amal M who assisted me with my shopping. Excellent customer service. Appreciate it. Thank you.

By far the worst Walmart I’ve ever shopped in Canada and the US. This was a Sunday at 530pm store was wide open and full of customers. I completely understand you need to stock shelves, but when it impacts your ability to even shop or walk down into a department. This was Girls clothing, and my 3rd attempt this week to shop here.

Do not use the Western Union there. Sent a transfer to someone who lost their bank card so cash was to be picked up there. Location said they refuse to do cash and has to be on a bank card. Western Union head office said that in fact is not the case and that if that happened again to call when the receiver was in the Walmart so they can talk to the Western Union employees and inform them that in fact it is cash pickup... Why would I use Western Union if it was for debit only receiving money when the debit card was lost and this was the reason why Western Union was being used... Staff was very rude to the recipient and myself when I called to figure out what was going on... Shame on you!!

There are not enough check outs open. I realize they are trying to "force" people to use the self checkout but some people still want a person to help them check out. People shouldn't have to wait in line for 20-30 minutes to get this personal touch.

The customer service was impeccable and the establishment was very clean with a wide selection of product that suit a variety of needs from groceries and pet items to a variety of electronics. Their prices are always some of the best with amazing deals everyday. They also offer online ordering with curbside pickup. Their lines move very fast and with it being one of the more popular places to shop they always handle every rush with grace.

Your average every day Walmart. Conveniently located. The only thing I don't "like" confusing is some stores are mirror images of other stores. Their returns process can be difficult and judgemental. Hold your ground. Tell them what you want, don't accept what they want. I don't think Walmart trains a helping attitude into anyone.

Dear Walmart Please teach your associates how to talk to the customers… if they are tired or sick of working that doesn’t mean they should be rude with the customers

So they have shelves on display for $49.95 Big red sign on the display. When you get to checkout its $52.50. When you tell them about the display and show them the picture you took, the employees look at each other like you're a problem customer before advising you must be mistaken. Staff smile at each other and shrug you off. Terrible treatment of customers on top of misleading advertisements.

Worst experience ever 0 stars To use a tax exempt Indian Status card at the Spar Road location in Sydney, NS you must stand in line at the customer service counter. You will not know this as there is no signage posted, I learned this after waiting at a cashier. You are not able to leave the store with your purchases. They must deliver your purchase to a reserve near by??? I am from Ontario and have no reserve address. When shopping at Walmart in Ontario I can check out at any cashier and present my card without an issue. I have read the website about the accessibility goals and customers should shop with dignity. So why when people try to use a Government issued card are they treated with such discrimination? I am absolutely shocked that residents go through such a process at this store when I know and have experienced a very simple process at other locations. Your procedure is in dire need of a review / revision so people can shop and check out with no discrimination and experience the customer satisfaction you advertise.

Walmart is not as good as it was before.To busy and not friendly.The lining up on spar road has to go.Too much control.Hate thisstore.
