Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.nI bought a packet of pav pau bread from Walmart at South Keys, and to my horror, there was an insect sealed inside the packet. This isn’t just gross—it’s a complete failure of basic food safety and quality control. How does something like this even make it onto the shelf?nWhat makes this worse is that this is NOT the first time I’ve had issues with food from this location. I’ve had to return multiple food items that were clearly expired but still sitting on the shelves, as if no one checks expiry dates at all. On another occasion, I bought tamarind, only to open it at home and be hit with a strong bad odour, only to find it full of fungus. Absolutely revolting.nThe overall store condition is just as bad. Some items on display are covered in so much dust that when you run your fingers over them, you can actually feel the grime. It’s obvious these shelves haven’t been cleaned or checked in a very long time. The back hardware corner looks completely neglected, like a shady, forgotten part of the store that no employee ever bothers to inspect. The air quality there is terrible, as if filters haven’t been maintained at all.nThis store shows a clear pattern of neglect, from spoiled and contaminated food to dirty shelves and poorly maintained sections. Customers shouldn’t have to worry about their health just by walking in, let alone buying groceries.nI’ve completely lost trust in Walmart South Keys. This location is unhygienic, poorly managed, and frankly embarrassing. Shop here at your own risk.
The Walmart on Bank Street in Ottawa is well-stocked like most locations, offering a wide variety of products. It's conveniently accessible, making shopping easy. However, the store is showing its age and could benefit from a renovation to improve the overall shopping experience. It looks like no real uplift has been done in at least 10 years.
I’ve been going to Southkeys Walmart since the day it opened and I have never been more disrespected until today, I had a large order and no self check outs were opened, and I was forced to go to the cashier; now I am 9 months pregnant, the lady had me scan my own large items; then proceeded to have me pack my own groceries, as I’m packing she continues to keep the line going while asking me to move, I then said maybe you could help my pack my items first, she ignores me; I have little to no space to pack I’m reaching for my items, but I finished and went to grab the two hall packets that was the very first thing I placed on the conveyer belt, she proceeds to ask me if they were mine which I said yes; she goes well I don’t think I scanned them I’ll have to look at your receipt but it’ll have to wait until after the customers, I threw them back down said don’t bother I don’t want them anymore, Walmart if you have cashier’s open please have them pack the groceries as well, to help with the flow of customers and not just humiliate them
Save yourself a trip and buy from Amazon, staff is lazy and rude. Simply wanted to buy an item that was locked in the baby section and asked the lady there to help and she said to go to cosmetics. I went to cosmetic and waited while this lady helped somone pick nail polish. This lady told me to ask the lady in the department and I told her I did and she sent me here. This lady get mad and sends me to electronics, meanwhile I have a stroller with a screaming baby I go to electronic. This ended in the same results, so I gave uo and ordered it same day delivery from Amazon. These employees are so rude and lazy Im glad my stocks are in Amazon and not wal mart.
Been trying to return an order that I paid over $600 since Oct 12 and it’s been nothing but false promises. Was told the courier would come multiple times — no one ever showed up. I’ve called customer care almost every day for 2 weeks, asked for supervisors, waited for callbacks that never happened. Absolutely ridiculous how poorly Walmart Canada handles returns.
