I am extremely disappointed at the service I just received. I have been a customer for years at this location. I bought a stool less than a week ago, then I went to Home Sense in Barrhaven next to Loblaws to look for another one like that. After a week of going to different Homes Sense stores in the city and not finding a second stool, I decided to buy another type of stool.nnToday, I returned the original stool to Marshals, I didn’t find the receipt but I have my TJX card, the lady at the cash told me that if I didn’t have my paper receipt I couldn’t get my money back, only a gift card, I told her I was not interested in a gift card as I had already paid 400 dollars for the other stools at the other location. The lady asked the manager who came and was not nice at all, he told me pretty much the same thing. I asked them to swipe my TJX card so they could see my purchase what is the point of that card then?. They refused, then I was asking one more thing to the lady and the manager told her to stop wasting her time with me because I didn’t have a receipt. I didn’t see the name of the “manager” but he was red head with a goatee, I ended up leaving with my stool. I am wondering if they would have treated me differently if I was white and didn’t have a strong accent.nnThen, I went to Home sense, Barrhaven, explained the same thing, they swiped my card, found my electronic receipt and gave me my money back, was that too hard to do at Marshals?
Do not go here if you don’t want to be disrespected…nHad an absolutely horrible experience at this store. I was returning some clothes and a couple managers gave me a lecture on how I should keep the tags on if I want to return things. They were extremely disrespectful and clearly didn’t know how to treat a customer. The manager red hair man didn’t even let me speak and explain myself, kept cutting off my words. I didn’t say anything back because I will never drop down to that level of disrespect. I hope they put a better manager to that store because I see other comments also complaining. I will never step a foot at this place again. As a minority and a woman, it is a common occurrence for me to be treated poorly and in a racist manner but I will not be taking this disrespect and will be contacting whoever I can to do something about this.
