This place has gotten increasingly worse over the past year in terms of service and prices. Despite having five to six staff hanging around doing sweet f all at the self service areas they cannot seem to keep their shelf price tags up to date. I cannot keep track of the amount of times I decide to purchase something based on advertised price only to get the till and it ring through at a more expensive price. Oh and if you question the price they treat you like you are trying to scam them. You wait a certain period of time for them to go and check the price they are in no rush ..then you give up and leave.
Pretty good customer service, good selection of anything I needed for good prices. Pretty fun place to go too.
Been shopping this place since moving to Penticton in 2006. Just last week, an e.i. worker approached me in electronics dept, saying I am banned for a year. I asked why, as I did not do anything. He said I know what I did. I don't. I never stole from this place as I always have cash or my debit card to pay for items. I did have to leave my cart a couple weeks ago, to get an item from my place for neighbor's parents when he was in hospital. I came back & finished my shopping. The only thing I took was my personal cart I left by the handicap scooters. Wasn't leaving there when I wasn't there. I am totally p!$$ed off about this 'banned' bull. I rely on this place for 95% of my shopping needs. I want to see their evidence as to why I have been banned for a year for no reason.
You need to train your workers on service dogs. My friend and I have be harassed by employees that acted inappropriately towards our service dogs. The only employees appropriately trained is the one old gentleman in the front. This is uncomfortable and inappropriate this one lady clapping her hands as we left tried defending herself saying her owned a rescue so she understand. This is not ok.
No one to assist in sales, then there were 3 checkouts open with 6 to 7 customers in each cashier line, but 3 staff in the self check out. I will not shop at Walmart if I am forced to use a self severe cashier which puts people out of work
Saw a sales rep in the cell phone place lie to a customer about their acct. Told them they have a discount that they don't and made the poor man drive across town and come back after talking with his carrier who told him the discount is NOT active and why and still told him he was getting the discount even tho his carrier said NO. Can you please train your reps to actually know what they are talking about when they look at a customers acct??? I saw them print off a sheet with his promos and it said PENDING not ACTIVE I'm with the same carrier. Shame on the rep that lied and shame on the supervisor that "trained" them. I walked out after that fiasco and went to an ACTUAL store for my carrier... not a 3rd party reseller that could care less...
I went there today to shop for a new comforter and found nothing I liked. As I was walking out with nothing in hand but a small purse on my shoulder, my friend asked the greeter to let us out since they have all doors blocked off. This guy told me he had to check my purse before I left the store. I was completely offended and asked why? And was told that this was store policy while he fully stuck his hand in my purse and rummaged around. Of course, he found absolutely nothing but my personal belongings. This is absolutely disgusting that Walmarts policy is to have their staff go through someone’s belongings like I’m a criminal. I may have looked a little frumpy but that’s no way to treat a person. Awful awful job Walmart
False advertising. Ordered 2 items for pick up in store on September 7, after I went to the store twice because they advertised they were in stock. Staff told me I could come back another time or order on line and pick up. The freezer order was canceled without explanation on pick up day and the microwave never arrived and hasn’t moved since it was shipped. Total waste of time. Walmart sent an email on September 28 asking for a review of a product they never delivered, then rejected this review and did not offer to resolve the issue.
I gave Penticton Walmart a second chance after having a race fueled issue a few years ago. Unfortunately, I have run into this issue again. The first time I shrugged it off to someone having a bad day. The treatment continued. How is it that Walmart keeps hiring people who profile by race? Management has been contacted about the individual.
i went to walmart with my friends in penticton and we were buying stuff. all of a sudden we were trying to find the washroom because our friends needed the bathroom. So we started running and this worker came out and started screaming at us. she then kicked us out and told us what are we doing with our lives. She snatched the toy we were about to buy and wouldn’t let us buy it.
