Wallowa Lake State Park

Campground is beautiful, lots spacious and close to the lake. If I had a recommendation for improvement, the rangers and park hosts were pretty heavy-handed in rule enforcement. We were a large, but respectful, clean, and pretty quiet crew that tried to follow the extensive rule set. Still , we got a visit from either a ranger or a host almost daily for the smallest things. Even the 5-star luxury sites I stayed in this summer aren't this strict. Not sure if they just needed something to do. Didn't ruin our stay, but did get a little annoying. That's not a reason to stay away from this lake. Worth a visit.

Very nice area! The campgrounds are amazing! They have spaces available for tents and RV's, or you can rent a cabin. The beaches, the playground, and amphitheatre are all very nice and well maintained. Excellent whether you are on a family trip, a scouting adventure, or just camping with friends. Definitely worth the visit!

Awesome campground for a family reunion, although the sites are right next to each other without much privacy. There's a playground for the kids, it's a short distance from the lake as well as all sorts of activities (mini golf, go carts, horseback riding, hiking, etc.). The showers were decent and the restrooms were kept clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Been enjoying Wallowa Lake my entire life. Have so many wonderful memories with my family and friends. Will always have a special place in my life.

Absolutely gorgeous. Not only is the lake beautiful (albeit, cold) but the mountains it's nestled between are spectacular. I'd highly recommend visiting the lake or state park, and even going through the small towns nearby. There's a surprising amount of entertainment and endless views!!
