Clean and convenient hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our flight arrived in Whitehorse late and it was an easy walk to the hotel from the airport. The staff recommended breakfast at the Airport Chalet next door and that was convenient for us. Nice view of the airport from our balcony. Thank you for a great stay!Rooms: 5/5
I’ve been on the road for 4 weeks and by far this was the best bed I’ve slept on. Quiet room with all you need. Nice walk in shower. Too bad for he restaurant is take out only. But then, in this labour market I understand staffing shortages. Would definitely stay here again.Rooms: 5/5
I am giving this 2 stars because of the price. This is not a $250/night quality hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the rooms are very tired and well worn. Furniture needs to be updated/fixed and walls painted. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Furniture and walls all scratched.Rooms: 2/5
Room was convenient and clean, we had everything we needed. Booked it because we had the first flight in the morning the next day and you can walk to the airport. Friendly staff at the front desk and nice restaurant at the premises.
Stayed here in January 2023 while I was passing through Whitehorse from Alaska on business. Pros: *Staff is friendly *Rooms are clean and fairly well appointed *Comfortable bedding *Within a 5-10 minute drive of downtown *Head-bolt heater electrical outlets available Cons: *Walls are paper thin. I could hear even casual conversations between occupants of the neighboring room as well as the very loud beeping noises of the hotel staff radios. I’ve been in a lot of hotels and the sound insulation here has to be the worst. Even basic noises around my room were audible. *Front door locks after midnight requiring staff intervention to re-enter. This is a minor gripe and may not affect most guests and this hotel is hardly alone in locking their front door after hours, but I prefer it when there’s at least a lock so guests can reopen the exterior entrances with their key cards.
Give this place wide berth unless you are desperate. Our room was adequate, nothing more. It was clean & the bed was comfortable, but amenities were sparse. “Chips, pop & water is available at Front Desk” is hardly exceptional service, & the laminated, itemized list of charges should room contents be damaged was as tacky as it was concerning. A sheer curtain was missing from our window unless only one panel was issued? & the lamp between the beds was inoperable. We were hungry on arrival & looking forward to “the most delicious Indian food in the North”, reservations required. The in-house line connected to a restaurant no longer on the premises & the direct line to the current occupant had a full mail box. An earlier reviewer cited lobster & prawns. Really? Sure didn’t see that on the menu we didn’t get to sample. Disappointed? You bet. Wiser? Oh yes. There are reliable service providers in Whitehorse who don’t need to embellish to attract quality clientele. You can bet your cab fare on it.
My stay at this hotel was great, the only thing lacking is the WiFi. Both the free and even the paid WiFi are terrible. Not somewhere you can reliably make teams or zoom meetings from.Rooms: 5/5
My husband, daughter and I enjoyed this roomy hotel. We gave it top grade imho compared to 3 or 4 others we've stayed at in Whitehorse. Though this isn't the best in terms of location for city centre, it is perfect for flights . We really enjoyed the restaurant and our rich seafood meal of lobster tail and prawns. Our room did lack a microwave but had a nicely appointed bathroom.
This hotel was clean and the showers were great. Housekeeping were accommodating to our room needs. We had a pullout couch that was good for one night : backache beyond that. You need to have a car limited options so book early! as access to downtown is otherwise by cab/taxi. The Indian Taj Mahal restaurant was only open from 5 pm to 10pm and by reservation! Cuisine was overall good but our Tandoori and Aloo Gobi was half cooked! There is no breakfast area : we used the Airport Chalet next door for breakfast and alcohol beverages. No airport shuttle service. Suggestions to management : Golf cart or a planned shuttle service will help. Dragging bags across the Alaska Highway was not fun! A refreshment area either in the foyer or in your "meeting room" area may be a great add-on. Perhaps add a stair access to the patio upstairs for an evening cheese and wine to watch the never ending sunshine!
The bathroom is really nice, full glass door with large granite tiles. Very clean room with large television and infinite channels to choose from. This was my first time in the Yukon and i didnt expect such a nice hotel for a reasonable price like this. The restaurant in the hotel is very pricy but the pasta is excellent and the service too.
