Vittoria Trattoria

We have only been here once, but I absolutely loved the food, service and atmosphere. The dinner menu was almost overwhelming with options (how to choose), but it was satisfying spending the time to find the items that will make your meal. The starters, pizza, pasta, entries all look delicious. I went traditional with a simple spaghetti and meatballs dish and I do not regret it. Our server was terrific and had lots to offer about the menu, dishes and recommendations. As a whole, we really enjoyed our evening here.

Beyond excellent food. Authentic Italian cuisine. I had the calamari which came out in a massive portion (which is great). For my main I had their special which was so delicious. I finished it off with their cheesecake which was one of the best I've had. We held a small birthday dinner here and it was perfect. The staff were excellent. The atmosphere is elegant but cozy/romantic. I will definitely be back with my spouse and would recommend this restaurant to others. 5 stars from me!!

Attentive wait staff. Great variety on the menu. The food was fresh and flavourful plus it was brought to the table fast, a bit too fast for us. The decor was a bit casual, I felt it lacked intimacy for an Italian restaurant.

Food was great and service was prompt. We only had one hour because we had another event that evening. It was on a busy Friday night and the server got us in and out on time without feeling rushed. Wine selection was great and the pasta was fresh.

The first time I was going to this place at Byward Market - and loved it. Food, service, environment and overall quality were amazing. Today we were going to the location near Hunt Club and, despite the pasta being as good as ever. I am so disappointed of the “Salmon and risotto” dish. Totally ruined by a huge amount of absolutely unnecessary sauce, way too sweet, poured all over and soaking a otherwise perfect piece of salmon fillet. The accompanying veggies and rice (did not resemble risotto in the slightest) were an absolute disappointment. Along with a less than engaged or interested member of staff that avoided to even try to ask about whether we were happy with the food despite seeing us exchanging plates. Later on I offered my feedback on the food regardless to which the answer was “this is the standard way in which we serve that”. Sorry Absolutely unacceptable.
