Vincenzo's

About

Specialty gourmet food store offering over 500 cheeses, deli meats, sandwiches, hot food, café, gelato & thousands of grocery items from around the world.

Story

Vincenzo and Rita Caccioppoli opened up a small business in their home on Bridgeport Road, Waterloo, called: Italian Canadian Foods. In 1967, because of Vincenzo's longing and passion for the fine foods of his homeland, he started selling various foods primarily to the small Italian Community in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Vincenzo's goal was to keep prices low and provide excellent customer service.

It wasn't long before word spread about the small store, and Vincenzo was soon bringing in many new foods from other Mediterranean countries for his new customers. Soon, the store needed to grow and in 1992 the business was moved to 740 Belmont Ave. in Kitchener. In honour of Vincenzo, (who passed away that year) the business was renamed to: Vincenzo's Fine Foods.

January 2010 saw yet another move to 150 Caroline St. South, which brought the business back to Waterloo, it's current location. Click Here to See Waterloo Chronicle's Article

Today Vincenzo's is known locally for having the best sandwiches in town. They carry a wide selection of olive oils, vinegars, homemade pasta, olives, deli meats, cheese and their famous "Artichoke Caponata". Vincenzo's carries a wide selection of homemade specialities, such as homemade pasta, sauces and pasta dishes always in the tradition and committment of using only the best and freshest ingredients in everything made on the premises.

At Vincenzo's you can also find rare and difficult to find products from around the world and plus a wide selection of Gluten Free and Diabetic items. Vincenzo's new location also includes a Butcher, Flower Shop, Seafood, Sushibar, Gelato Bar and Cafe

Vincenzo's selection of imported foods has changed and grown over the past 4 decades, but the commitment to quality has been constant. As in the tradition of Vincenzo Caccioppoli sons Tony and Carmine continue to offer the finest gourmet foods from Italy and the Mediterranean, at reasonable prices, with excellent service.

We hope you enjoy your shopping experience at VINCENZO's in Waterloo, Ontario.

You will get almost everything you want for your daily need. Little bit expensive but it’s convenient. 5 star for variety of Fresh Olives and Bakery.
It was easily 5x bigger than I expected it to be and it’s PACKED full of gourmet grocery goodness.nnAll Foodies. Get there asap. I mean maybe not at lunch time which was quite chaotic but magical at the same time. Yes I had Gelato AND brought home some cake.nnThe cheese selection incredible. The baking section even has @valrhona which is so hard to find. They have Dutch Groceries, German, Italian of course and more - lots of fantastically marked Canadian product as well including loads I’ve never seen before.nnWorth the drive for the food heaven and the staff were kind and helpful and welcoming!
Vincenzo’s is our go to for all things gourmet, artisanal, and Italian. Whether we’re grabbing specialty ingredients, picking up lunch, or treating ourselves to something sweet, it never disappoints.nnTheir sandwiches are some of the best in the region, the gelato is incredible, and you absolutely cannot leave without a Café Freddo. Everything feels authentic, high quality, and thoughtfully curated.nnThey are truly a KW staple and one of those local spots that has stood the test of time for good reason. We’re so lucky to have them in our community.
The best place for build your own sandwiches. They have a Cafe, hot food counter, sushi. Fresh pasta bar, great cheese selection. Homemade breads, storemade spreads and dips. Wide selection of desserts. Small spot of fresh produce. Fish and meat counters
Love love love Vincenzo’s! A Waterloo gem. From cheese, bread, seafood, meats and pastries they have everything. The hot table provides good options decently priced. Sandwhich bar is great but can be confusing. The cafe/gelato bar is awesome as well. One of the only places in Waterloo you can get good quality high variety meat and fish. You can go there for specialty items or for a quick snack.
