Village Inn

I've usually enjoyed meals at The Village Inn, but this was our first time at this location. While the prices are good and the food plentiful, I found two major flaws with today's experience: The waitress was really bad... like surly and inhospitable bad. It may be because she seemed to be the only waitress on duty at lunchtime, but it made for a sub par experience for everyone at the table. She also forgot one of our party's pancakes, which she said would 'come later' when she delivered the meals, but then we had to remind her (after we had all eaten) that we were still waiting for pancakes. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and there was something truly funky tasting about it. It was definitely a rancid taste... could have been the Hollandaise sauce, since it tasted odd throughout the meal. I didn't think too much of it, but it's been four hours now and I can't get that taste out of my mouth. Yuk.

One of my favorite home-town style breakfast restaurants. Similar in vibe to a Denny's or Shari's, but with superior wait staff and really great food. Price is generally the same as the aforementioned similar restaurants. Generally pretty busy in mornings and weekends.

Staff is friendly and accommodating. Food excellent and tasty without any too fancy sauces or spices. Comfortable setting.

My mom and I love their hamburgers, but there's this one waitress there who is really unpleasant. She acts as if taking an order is distasteful to her. Overheard her being openly confrontational with an elderly couple who were from out of town. She makes what would otherwise be a really nice dining experience not so much. If you don't mind bars, go to Ringo's instead.

I always love this place. The staff is always friendly and amazing. Smiles all the way around. If we go out to breakfast, this is where we go.
