Very few staff are able to speak English or refuse to. A social Worker my son had couldn't speak a word of English also they don't return your calls for days. Stopped physio on my son because he was not showing enough improvement after 3 months. They gave up on him too quickly. Do not send a loved one here unless it is for minor care.
I wanted to share my experience. My mom was hospitalized and the people that she got therapy from were all wonderful and really help my mom get better. The team that receive visitors too were all very nice and helpful. They made sure my mom left when her health was manageable. The only thing is that they do not answer the phone when you call on the 9th floor like 2/10 time they answer on the first call.
Unfortunately I had to spend 3 months inrehab. The staff on the 9th floor and the ergo therapists, psychologist, were phenomenal. It made my stay as pleasant as possible considering my situation. Yes, I can now read, write, talk and walk slowly, but I get there eventually. Everything and everyone from the cleaning staff, attendants, nurses and doctors were involved in patient care. They make a good team. I heard a couple of negative comments from other patients, but I also noticed that those patients didn't like the sun because it was too bright and didn't like the night because it was too dark. To each his own, I guess. I thank them from the bottom of my heart. Thanks to them and my family I am me again. Parking is little or not available. Parking meters are everywhere, so beware!
Villa Medica is not a welcoming center. The staff are not the most pleasant or useful in that when a patient falls or requests help there is an unacceptable amount of time that passes before a patient is attended. Further, the center is clearly does not properly assess patient cases nor provides complete care for a situation. The center enjoys the easy rehabilitation cases however the more difficult cases seem to be quickly discharged on false pretenses by the staff that they cannot provide more treatment. In summary, I am strongly disappointed with the way this center operates but there is little to choice to be had anyways it seems.
Why do you have your garbage collection at 4am in the morning several times a week. You are in a residential neighborhood and there are hours when these types of activities should be happening, which is not at 4am, especially when it’s right next to apartment buildings.
I wad pleased with their physio therapy and occupational therapy program. They also have their own transport service for $10 that includes the transportation from and to your home.
Knowledgeable staff and good service.
Terrible place Sent someone home with an infection, and they died!!!! My goodness, do your job!
I'm lil claustrophobic
Translated by Google After a rather serious fall and a few days in the hospital, my grandmother stayed several weeks at Villa Medica. Seeing the more or less positive comments here, we were rather worried and first sought to relocate her. However, it was the only place available, so we resigned ourselves. Well, we were pleasantly surprised. The staff is very nice and attentive, always ready to answer our questions, and if the rooms are quite cramped, they are also well maintained and clean. The dishes served are quite correct, even good according to my grandmother, and the physiotherapy service is very good. Today, my grandmother is back home, and after her stay at Villa Medica, she is much, much better. It therefore seemed important to me to leave a positive comment here, given that there seems to be an overrepresentation of negative comments.
