Victoria Lawn Cemetery

I visited Victoria Lawn Cemetery Sept 17, just before sunset. It was down right gorgeous, I would recommend anyone thinking of visiting to go just before dusk and enjoy the setting sun as it plays across the leaves of the massive trees.nVictoria Lawn Cemetery is a historical site which anyone can, and should visit no matter if you know anyone buried there. The monuments to fallen soldiers from WW1 up to the Afghanistan conflict are well maintained and are a testament to our appreciation for their sacrifice.nThe cemetery has wide paths that are excellent for taking walks through. I plan to visit the other side of the cemetery soon. The cemetery is split in two by a road

By far one of the worst kept cemeteries..plots driven over..they put this sign but we picked up 3 broken solar lights and broken cement ornaments that were driven over. Also..we cleaned up several stones that were covered over with dead grass from recently cut areas. If I would have know. I would have brought a rake. I can’t understand why workers would not have a little more respect for the deceased

The outdoor cemetery is very well kept and makes for a very interesting & serene walk. Today when I visited the mausoleum I was so surprised to see many spider webs. If I was coming to pay my respects to a friend or family member I would be quite upset to see the cobwebs hanging down; so that is why I am saying the indoor mausoleum could be better maintained. The outdoor Cemetery is in very good condition however and is well maintained. If you can take a few hours and walk throughout the whole cemetery, you can catch a glimpse of many interesting headstones. Some are lighthearted and some are heartbreaking but well worth the walk through. I didn't take any photographs of the headstones, but instead concentrated elsewhere. You will see many rabbits running throughout the cemetery.

This review is most about how terrific the staff at the City of St Catharines were in assisting me with burying my mom and step-dad. The Cemetery itself is beautiful. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about my entire experience.

They have always cleaned up my parents site and made me feel better. The grass was perfectly trimmed.
