Great little market. Staff was friendly and helpful. Seemed to have a few gluten free/lactose free products that I was looking for. Nice flowers, I like that these are a bit different variety than see in typical grocery stores. I heard a lot of good things about this market and food from a family member and decided to finally check it out. It is pricey but I believe food quality is much better, as when I come and visit my family their fruits and veggies and other local foods taste amazing. Yes, pricier than your regular supermarket, but you get what you pay for as many said before me.
Without a doubt a true gem in the city. Comparable prices but the produce lasts WAY longer than any big box store. Amazing selection and even better service.
I have to say I liked the old store better with the cozyness and friendlier atmosphere. The new store feels more like a warehouse and nobody was there to great you or to ask questions. The prices have also increased alot, probably to pay their rent. You can find alot of the products and good produce elsewhere. They don't take credit either. I won't be shopping there anymore. Ps. I bought a container of clam chowder soup for 10.99 and there were no clams in it!! I had to buy a can of clams to add. Rip off.
Those onions look so gorgeous, I wasn't a huge fan of the cinnamon buns I found them a bit undercooked but the taste was good. Weird texture. Also bought an imperial cookie I can't eat it but the person I bought it for said it was really really good.
Very nice upscale grocery. Great for different types of everything! Very fresh local veg. Highly recommended
Great selection, Fresh produce and delicious cinnamon buns worth the trip just for those. Very friendly staff!
This is a great place especially for produce. I don’t consider it expensive because you know what is expensive? Wasting food/produce your purchase just to throw out. I have been shopping here for years now and any time I deviate for convenience at another store I am disappointed. The fruit here is always flavourfully ripe, and it’s open year round. They have a great vegan cheese and prepared vegan food variety. The best fresh herbs. I can go on… shop here. Try it out if you haven’t yet.
Vic's was recommended to us shortly after we moved downtown, but today was the first time we had a chance to make a visit. The name totally underestimates this place because it is way more than a fruit stand. There are tons of in-house made things, like meats burgers, stuffed chicken breasts, sausages, etc., soups galore, pasta sauces and more. Much of the produce features local products, lots of it organic. There's also quite a nice selection of gourmet pantry items and dried pastas and organic spices. The Deli counter is nicely stocked, too. They carry a good selection of cheeses including Bothwell best cheese on the planet. Right now, the store is a bit difficult to find amongst all the construction, but it is definitely worth the trip. We will be making Vic's a regular stop for sure.
A great place to get fresh local produce, meats and more. Vic's cherry tomatoes are so sweet and tasty! The different greens I get there stay fresh for longer than from other places, tender kale and spinach, buttery salad greens! Staff are also friendly and helpful. Prices are fair for the quality offered.
Freshness galore! The fruits and veggies at this store are always fresh, unlike the large supermarkets. Vic's also has a deli and lots of speciality cheeses, pasta and frozen food. The prices are expensive but the quality worth it.
