Its a good place to shop of your looking to build your points with oc optimum. The prices for ceritain items are good. I come here for things that are outragously priced at costco. This is where your price matching muscles should be flexed. Still spent more then i intened but what can you do kids have to eat.
Selection is a bit limited, particularly on more premium products, but it's overall a decent experience; better than walmart I guess. I often can't find what I'm looking for, such as canned french onion soup, and you aren't going to find quality cat food here either. Checkout most days isn't bad, and prices are reasonable, but I personally try to avoid the busier hours. Make sure to bring your own grocery bags.
I would avoid this No Frills for a variety of reasons. First and foremost is the lack of professionalism along with many times not having items that are advertised in the flyer. The owner himself is quite indifferent to the needs and requests of his customers. I found the staff adopting the same mentality. While I genuinely try to avoid this location I had to stop there this weekend. After picking up the few items that I required I proceeded to use the self-checkout. To my dismay the self checkout stall was actually covered with blood residue from some sort of meat. It not only covered the upper White side packing table but also on the scanner. I had purchased perishable items including bread and only came to realize that this residue was on my product when I picked it up and moved it after scanning it. I'll now had residue not only on my product but also all over my . I was genuinely concerned with the overall contamination that occurred. I brought it to the attention of an employee who instead of apologizing and resolving the situation proceeded to be rude militant and abrasive and said that they didn't have time to get to it yet. I asked to speak to a manager and she advised me her manager was working at a checkout Lane. The clerk decided to then yell across three or four lanes advising that I was upset because she didn't have the time to clean up the blood. I'm not sure why the person in the self checkout would not understand my concern but since she expressed it so blatantly I concurred but yes indeed I wanted to speak to the manager because of her attitude.. I finally had the opportunity to speak to the supervisor privately- yelling across Lanes in a public forum is never conducive to good customer service. The supervisor did her best - she apologized for the situation but this is just typical of the attitude and lack of professionalism that I have been witness to at this location . This is 100% not the case of all No Frills locations for the most part they are a great alternative in terms of produce and praise but this particular store is not one that I would recommend. Typically I would have escalated it up to the store manager for an opportunity to coach and train but when I've spoken to the owner of the store there is rarely any sort of positive end result. As a result I shop elsewhere unless absolutely necessary. I wish you far better luck
1 star for kind staff and relatively clean store. Unfortunately stars lost due to the condescending store manager. I approached him with some questions not knowing he was SM. He wouldn't give me the time of day, and he rude as all heck when he finally did. I asked an employee who he was, and if he was just having a bad day. They laughed... seems they've seen this side to him before too. As a store manager myself I understand he most certainly has a lot on his plate... but that's not something the customer needs to contend with. I just about left my cart and walked out, but I didn't, knowing that only adds more work for the young staff. Anyway, I needed to do a price match for the first time, due to a substantial savings, that required his assistance. I opted to pay full price instead rather than interact with him again. Moving forward I'll just bring my business where it's appreciated.
Clean store, lots of employees putting away product. Of course, the employees are teenagers and the only words out of their mouths to each other as they're working is swear words, so not professional. What ever happened to being respectful at work?!
Worst No Frills in the GTA. Albeit it was the second last day of sales for No Name peanut butter and a branded toilet rolls. They were out of stock for these two items. I politely asked for a raincheck. I was shocked that the staff was so rude in saying no. I thought I heard wrong and so I asked if she could repeat what she said. She totally ignored me twice before giving a curt no. Apparently, they do not give out rain check and she gave the impression that as though I was a nuisance for asking a question. There is really no need to treat customers like that. We can understand a simple no.
Quality is number one here, but prices are little higher than the other grocer/supermarkets. Otherwise we liked the place to shop for daily groceries. As well, the range of products/collections are slightly lower in comparison with Walmart /Real /Freshco, Food Basics.
Map Pointer was wrongly placed. It is taking to Walmart Store located beside it. Now it is placed properly, if Google accepts my suggestion which was given on spot, standing just at the entrance of NO FRILLS
I had visited the store for the first time a couple of weeks ago and this is my review, Great store overall not to many lineups compared to other stores in the area, you can find just about every thing you need grocery wise, I had my lost my phone without realizing it had dropped it in the parking lot after shopping I had returned to the store and one of the store members Rohan assisted me and directed me to customer service who had my phone, thankfully in this day and age it wasn't stolen and I was able to get it. kudos to store employees for keeping my phone safe. and thanks to that customer who found my phone and gave it to cs kiosk.
While I was paying for my groceries, the display on my fitness band fell out of the wristband. I didn't realize this until I got home, and when I came back it was no where to be seen. The first staff member I asked was very nice, even though she didn't have it. While I was running round frantically searching, she actually spoke to other staff members, on of whom had found it earlier. Without her help I'm sure I would've lost it. A sincere thanks to the lady sadly forgot to ask for her name.
