Verona Beach State Park

25 bucks gets you a nice tent site right on the lake with a fire ring. Only a few sites have electric/water hookups, and those are towards the middle of the campground. Showers & bathrooms were clean. The lake had an algae bloom when we were there, so the beach was closed. But right next to their beach was a nice splash pad for the kids. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommend!

Some of the best sunsets can be seen from here. The sites are big, good price and some are almost on the water. The facilities are clean, there is a nice beach with food lots of tables. The wind can also be quite strong so make sure if you are tenting to get a site a little in from the water ones. I had to replace a tent last year because my metal poles bent from excessively strong winds.

Great for picnics and family gatherings. Lots of grills and a beach available. A park for the little ones as well

Great place to enjoy nature with the benefits of bathrooms, seating, first aid, food/beverages for purchase. My kids love playing here, walking the paths, and grilling with the family. I enjoyed this in my childhood 20 years ago and my kids enjoy ut today.

Nice hidden gem. Facilities are modern and clean! Lots of trails for hikes, small sandy beach (also clean!), plenty of picnic areas, plus camping spots.
