Vera's Burger Shack

Went for the first time today based on all the positive feedback from friends and colleagues. Ordered the Vera Burger, Onion Rings and a Chocolate Milkshake. The burger was messy in a good way. The onion rings and chocolate shake were outstanding. I really want to try their hot dog next time. Looked amazing!

I haven’t found a better burger in Ottawa. Uncomplicated, straightforward, grilled burgers; with gourmet quality. Made with the freshest meat they butcher on-site.

Might be the best burger in town! Very juicy and flavorful. Worth it, and I definitely recommend you get a shake with it too

Always enjoyed going to Vera's over the years. Great location, free parking and the service one received has always been very good. The burgers are fantastic with a nice assortment of condiments you can choose from and the fries are decent. Note that it can be a bit on the pricey side.Food: 5/5

Really unfortunate experience tonight after having had a great lunchtime meal previously. Food took 45 minutes to be prepared for 2 burgers and a small fry, both plain. Got home and found no fries and underdone food. Seems like there were significant issues with the kitchen; staff were apologetic and polite but didn’t make up for a very unpleasant experience. Won’t be going back.

Burger is tasty but I wasn’t blown away. I had heard good things so I think my expectations were set really high. The girls working the counter have a bit of attitude and could be friendlier.

Best hamburger meat and all meat products in Ottawa without a doubt. Top quality and tast are hallmarks. Service is the best in town. It's your top destination for meat which is expertly cut and packaged . You won't be sorry with my recommendation.

We of course have our favorite cashiers/cooks, but everyone is usually so friendly. We usually order their burgers and fries. Both always fresh, and LOVE their "Vera's Sauce" Food: 5/5

Underwhelming burgers, similar to higher end frozen store bought patties. Buns are also just regular old dempsters burger buns that they keep right out front like they’re proud about it. Been for takeout a half dozen times, and every time the same Cashier/Cook lady always has a terrible attitude and rolls her eyes like she’s possessed. This will be my final visit, and I certainly won’t be recommending it to anyone.

Food is always fantastic! I filled out my burger specifications, laid my pencil down and was immediately schooled to put back in the container. I habitually lay my pencil down as does the majority of the population. She could have said nothing at all, reached over and done it. Btw there are only six people in here! No mad rush with no time to pick up some patrons pencil
