Grab n' Eat by H&B

Just had our family late lunch at Grab n eat Filipino Restaurant here in Ottawa .Great food , delicious, tasty meals . Thanks Jay , the owner , was so friendly,accommodating . Restaurant clean , organized, lots of meals selection . Highly recommend this restaurant. Halo halo the best .Reasonable price as well. The kind of food you'd eat when you are absolutely starving. It's not completely inedible, but makes you think "why even bother cooking?". Think brick-hard dough sprayed with shrimp flavor and deep fried. Or something that looks like leftover veggies wrapped in what looks like a crepe but tastes like cornstarch. The only positive is that it is dirt cheap.

I came here for the halo halo and it was delicious! Well represented and good quality of dessert. The ube bread was also soft and nice. We also grabbed their combo, and they were high quality food that tasted homemade.

Ordered BBQ pork skewers, pancit and lumpia to take home for dinner. It was all delicious and the service was friendly. The Manila rolls were also a nice sweet treat for breakfast. I’ll come back and try some of the other dishes.

Tasty ready-to-go dishes, Halo-halo dessert, and Pan de Ube sweet bread! A must!

Nostalgic over carinderia-like taste. Brings me back to my old hood! Food were abso-freaky-lutely delish! The kind of halohalo that I crave. Will definitely visit when I get back in town.

Small family run ? eatery, mainly take out, with a few tables outside. Phillipine dishes mainly. Can't say much about their hot meals because we have not tried them yet, but we have sampled their drinks on two occasions. Their bubble tea is pleasant, with the right amount of tapioca balls and a nice thick straw. Their halo-halo is a beautiful looking drink with some good flavors, but quite filling in is own! Will come back for the bubble tea though.

Been enjoying their lutong bahay for a year now, however, their prices are getting up and portions are getting small. A plain halo halo no added leche flan is not worth $10. In this May 24 weekend storm I feel like I was robbed with price hikes, one tiny spring roll costs 1 dollar and extra styro foam plate cost 30 cents. meals. The veggie combo with rice was much smaller than I used to get. I'll have to think twice before taking 40 mins to try these food.

My first time. Looked unimpressive but I have to compliment them on their kari-kari. It's the best I've tasted in Canada. Different halo halo too but it works. Great job!

Great food served by amazing staff. There's a bevy of Filipino food to choose from and they're all tasty like how Mom used to make at home. Parking: There's a good space for about 3 to 4 cars with ample turning.
