I wish all my doctor’s office experiences were like this one. Minimal waiting time. Efficient office conversations. Proactive staff that demonstrate an interest in their clients. When scheduling an MRI they got the insurance approval, they called the service with the referral, they scheduled the appointment, they called me with the appointment time. Everything was excellent.
The bill for a facture was about $1,300.00. $900.00 of it was for surgery. There was no surgery. I spoke to the doctor's representative and was told all facture care starts at $900.00 and it includes any care related to the facture for the next 90 days. Similar to an extended warranty plan . The cast was only on for 30 days, so I had to pay for an additional 60 days of coverage I did not use. The kicker, the doctor's personnel was unable to tell me specifically what would or would not be covered by the extended 60 day coverage. I would have to check with my insurance provider. Some perspective, my colonoscopy cost $1,500.00, actual surgery so with the good doctor's billing practices I got it twice in the buttocks.
This office is like an assembly line. Dr. Veltri spend maybe 5 minutes with me. Manipulated my leg and suggested PT. No MRI, no questions about my pain, etc. Only a few friendly people in the office and no one could answer any of my questions. Feels like they just want to collect their coin and you are just a number. Surprised because they came so highly recommended.
This office moves too quickly. The receptionists are unfriendly, and not very helpful. Dr. Veltri has 8 patients at once, so not only do you wait for a long time you have a quick session with the doctor. I ended up signing off for a brace that I didn't ask for nor did I know that I would be charged for. I asked the nurse how it worked and he said they billed the insurance. I am now stuck with an $80 brace I didn't use, and it is overly priced and cheap. I ended up getting a $30 brace on my own. When I called the office to find about the cost, they told me that I signed off on it and now there was nothing they could do. I did not realize Dr. Veltri was hard up for $80. I do not recommend this doctor specifically because everything moves too quick. I will be finding a new doctor. I am sure many of you have had a great experience but I am only speaking from my experience.
Last of 4 visits post surgery in July 2017, was similar to recount of another patient, terrible. I had been stupid enough 3 previous visits to put up with 2 hour delays, no interaction of more than 5 minutes, finally concluded this is just terrible service. Well beyond no bedside manner, this guy is running a factory, and has no TIME OR DESIRE to be forthright and thoughtful with patients. This practice and all associated with it, should be ashamed, patient money isn't everything, Shame on you Dr. Veltri, you need to rethink your goals & oath!
Dr Veltri himself is great as a doctor but be prepared to wait FOREVER!! I've been there numerous times and that office has not been on time once. Last time there was a two hour wait WITH an appointment so o rescheduled. Appointment today was for 3:40 - still sitting here waiting at 4:10...
Great surgeon. Put me back together a few times. For those of you that may have an issue with wait time, think of this. Would you eat at a restaurant with an empty parking lot..not. He has a packed schedule because he is the best. He spends time with you and makes sure your taken care of. His office staff is awesome!!! Two of my children have been treated by him. Awesome personality. Deal with the wait it well worth it!
Be prepared to wait well beyond your scheduled appointment. Everyone in the waiting room including myself werent seen till at least an hour past the scheduled appointment. He meets with you very quick, although my injury was minor. I hear good things, just seems like they are way over booked. Bring something to do or dont worry about rushing in on time.
Called this doctor Bc they were referred to my by New England Urgent Care. Receptionist said for me to get the copies of my x rays and she had to talk to the dr before she scheduled. 28 hours later, x ray copies in hand, receptionist calls me back saying dr veltri isn’t taking self pay patients. Thanks a lot. Only haven’t been able to walk since fri early evening and struggling to run a business on crutches. Had no problem paying up front or anything. Just wanted to get my knee looked at and fixed to get back to everyday life but I guess the uninsured in this world isn’t good enough for this doctor with the soul. Even if I go out tomm and get insurance I will be taking my business and well-being elsewhere.
Brought my mother to her scheduled appointment only to be told she would not be seen and someone will call her at some point to make another appointment. I had also called for weeks to schedule an appointment and never received a call back.
