What’s the point in having a doctor if they never have appointments available and make you go to the express clinic? I love Dr. Edelheit and Andrea but since becoming Prohealth, we have had the hardest time getting in to see them for being sick. My two kids are currently suffering and once again they have nothing open and recommend the express which last time the doctor was a no call no show there. I’m done. The office staff at the Tolland office are rude every single time I call with an issue. Dr. Edelheit’s normal staff are wonderful still but I feel bad for them. Time to switch doctors and he’s known my boys since they were babies. Very sad.
An APRN and the office staff here are often but not always condescending and unhelpful; it likely depends upon the individual, day, and job function. The doctors are great, but since my PCP here is not a doctor I've decided to switch. If you're looking for a place who can keep clinical notes and guide your care effectively, go elsewhere since the overall care team is disorganized. No reminder even to schedule a yearly physical, two years running; preventative health here is a bit of a farce. On the financial side, dodgy in terms of providing their billing codes and procedures up front or setting itineraries to limit scope of billing. You feel like a number when visiting. Most of my bad experience is unfortunately with Cheryl, as others here have also noted. She has led me to actively avoid seeking medical help and advice due to negative experiences. I don't say that or name her explicitly lightly; I debated doing it, but decided the pros outweighed the cons given the opportunity to improve care for patients. I've been spending my career helping patients interact with health systems and providers through technology; I can say with certainty this practice needs more introspection and patient focus. I would highly recommend a PCP other than Cheryl if trying to partner with this practice. They have great potential, but it's regrettably undermined through their long-term performance. Doctor Bayona is great; I'd highly recommend him if it weren't for the barriers to seeing him.
This is the second time in 3 months trying to get an appointment because of sinus issues. Both times I was told they had no openings. My wife works in the medical industry so we know they have openings for who they want to give them to. But if I miss a regular appointment or med check the threaten to not fill my scripts. Pro health is the fast food of the medical profession
I’d honestly give ZERO stars if that was an option. First of all, I’ve called 3x in two weeks for my important meds to be filled and each time I was told it would be done but was it? Absolutely not. That’s after wasting 3 trips to the pharmacy to find that out. Secondly, it’s almost always impossible to get in for an appointment for anything. And the providers are judge mental and definitely do not have your care in our best interest. They’re too opinionated on pretty much everything from your concerns to all the medications you take. Awful practice. Do NOT recommend.
I have a great doctor Dr. Bayona however the scheduling employees have got to be the RUDEST women alive. Every time I call, I’m left on hold for 10-15+ minutes and receive an unnecessary amount of attitude. For individuals who signed up for a customer serving job/career, they certainly don’t value the ones whom are keeping them employed. You’d think time would soften up a person considering how much of it has clearly passed for these females but nope; just cold, bitter and bland. Unfortunate to say the least.
I’m normally not one to complain. But I had an appointment for 11:15. When I arrived the front desk told me the doctor is running a few minutes behind schedule. Completely understand that. I had to wait almost 40 minutes to be called back. Very disappointed with today’s appointment.
I was a patient there for 15 yrs and had Ryan he was a excellent pro video when he left they transferred me to a rookie Adam he messed up my chart with someone else that had different issues no thanks me and my son are gone from there oh and don't even get me started on the check out girls
Have been going here for two years now and let me say this visit was my last. First off the front desk lady had an attitude with me and continued to be rude. Then when I finally saw the doctor with the name of Cheryl, she started talking to me as if I was a little kid even though I am in my thirties. She also made quiet a few fat comments about me even though I am five foot five and only 139 pounds. correct me if I am wrong but I think that is a healthy weight for my hight and age. I guess not according to her. someone who is heavily over weight herself. each time I have gone to her she has just always been rude and condescending. I will never return to that practice again. please do yourself a favor and don't go here or at least don't go to her, you will be better off.
Worst place ever. Don't ever go there. Doctors there do not have the right information on things. They see you are not on any medications and try to push all sorts of different medications on you. They try to talk to you like you are a little kid. I guess I can't even say the lady I had was a doctor because she was only a APRN which is nothing.
Not all doctors are created equal. Doctor Bayona is well above any primary care physician I've had in 50 years! Knowledgeable, always helpful, great bedside mannerism, he clearly cares for his patients. Wish all doctors were this great.
