I rented a unit from VLR for almost 2 years. I'm not sure why there are any negative reviews. The application process and credit checks were extremely thorough to protect the property owner. Throughout the whole period we spoke with the same staff who were very attentive and polite. Baxter was really helpful and the communication process was well managed throughout the office. If I own a property to rent out in the future I wouldn't hesitate to use them based on my experience

I searched for 3 months for an apartment and met literally over a dozen brokers. I can say hands down Annie from VLR is the best. She went out of her way to help negotiate with building and landlord, was o always prompt and even helped me move in. Best agent ever!
I have worked with Annie Ang many times in the past 5 years. I was very impressed with the services she had provided to my clients One of the biggest frustrations for people is a lack of communication from their agent. That’s not the case with Annie. She made sure to stay in constant contact with her clients. And what seems like insignificant information to an agent who’s been in the business for years can be really important to clients who are new to the real estate game. Annie made sure to address all of her client’s concerns and needs in a timely manner. She truly is a first class professional!

Will NEVER deal with this company again. They sell this "luxury" concept, which the unit we rented was so far from. Paying a premium for a unit that had a leaking washer/dryer, stovetop that didn't work, mold and mildew everywhere, leaking shower, carpets with so many stains. All the furniture in the unit was damaged or stained. I was told by the property manager that all of the above "was my personal opinion", when it was all documented facts. The unit also had this awful smell, and even with days of cleaning by us, and candles it did not go away. Stay far away! I've rented furnished rentals all over the world, and not sure what it is about Vancouver, but it was so disappointing and the worst rental I've ever had.
VLR has been managing my properties for the past 5 years and only good results have come from it. Annie Ang, one of their rental specialist found me a suitable tenant for my property within 2 weeks and managed all the right expectations. Never had an issue with them. Highly recommend. Ask for Annie Ang for all your rental needs in Vancouver, whether you’re a renter or property owner. Thanks again!
Extremely poor services. We rent an apartment with them and had really bad experience. 1. The agent promised that the apartment would be cleaned professionally before move in. Guess what, the day of move in, everything covered with dust and the apartment smells. We have to clean it thoroughly after travelling 2000km. 2. The ad promised it is a AC unit. The month we moved in it is Oct, there is no heating. The apartment is freezing with a temperature of 10 degree ish. We talked to the agent and no one cares. We end up talking with the condo management by ourselves, and waited for a month for the heating to be turned on. And during summer, guess what, the air condition does not work once the outside temperature turn 28 degrees. The Rental people did nothing to deal with it. And we have to leave the apartment and hide in some cool place for two months. 3. When we moved out, we did throughout cleaning, and the windows looks very shinny. Again, the agent blame us on water stain on the tile, and charged us $500 for it. This is absolutely ridiculous and what a fvcking rental agency who did nothing with their renting issue, just want to rubber your money with any excuse. Advice: Do not deal with this company! They are horrible!
Just moved to Vancouver from Toronto and was referred to Annie and Lisa, they were professional and great and found me a place really quickly. Would definitely recommend VLR for any tenants looking to rent!
