Picked up a nice antique tiger wood dresser for $50 that was marked down for $55 but the nice lady at the till knocked $5 off maybe because my mother who paid for it is a senior. The dresser is for her guest room, i forgot to say it came with an awesome antique mirror. The workers were very helpful and professional.
Great selection of clothing and other item, but very overpriced for what wad once considered a thrift store. Biggest downfall to this store is that employees always treat me like I'm shoplifting. I seriously get treated like I'm about to run off with every overpriced brand named item in the store like a bandit!
Great selection. I always leave with so many things. Wish they'd bring back the change rooms though
I was impressed with the store layout. Shelfs were stocked and organized. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
One of my favourite Value Villages as an avid thrifted. Spend some time looking around and you will ALWAYS find an amazing item. Great and friendly staff, well organized, and not too busy. Also has a great selection of kitchenware and art.
I'm not a fan anymore. Prices have gotten ridiculous I saw something tagged for $2 that had a $1.25 dollarama sticker on the bottom. Having cash as the only option if you want a human to cash you out is a huge pain. I had mostly glassware, so being expected to cash myself out, as well as wrap it all up, just so I could pay with debit? More than mildly annoying.
After about 3-4 years of not going to Value Village I was there about a week or 2 ago and bought a couple shirts and a pair of pants. I asked an employee about the fitting rooms and was told by her that they no longer have them so wasn't really happy or impressed with that too much so she told me that I could just buy them and IF they didn't fit I could return them and get my money back...so I did just THAT. I came back a day or 2 later to return the shirts ONLY to be told that they don't do returns and that "wasn't their policy" and was told they ONLY do exchanges and I didn't WANT to do an exchange I just wanted the money back as I NEEDED that money and was hoping to get it back since I was mis-lead and lied to about getting my money back but I did receive a small apology in the end but an apology wasn't gonna make things any better. So NOW I am left with 2 shirts that I DO NOT want as they DO NOT fit me and I pretty much lost out on $20 ALL because they no longer have fitting rooms to try things on FIRST before buying and because they apparently have a "No Return" policy. I could have used that $20! it could have been put towards something else I may have wanted/needed to buy so I am NOT too happy, pleased and impressed with this "policy" and store so I will definitely NOT be returning also they are WAY too over priced and expensive as hell for a 2nd hand store Mens jeans, t-shirts and certain used video games to be exact like for example...$299.99 for a Playstation 1 game?!?! SERIOUSLY?!!! that is honestly insane, ridiculous and outrageous!!!
I love value village but some of the prices are extremely high, I've seen product from the dollar store being sold for ten dollars , but great selection for the most part and friendly staff for sure
for profit. went to get a couple things for halloween this year and they had two self check outs open, a teenager was running the self check out and was unable to help, watched the line get long and never called for help. very disappointed in value village. that poor girl was clearly not trained well
Value Village is our favorite thrift store in Canada! We can't visit without hitting several of them and always find treasures and new to us favorite things.
