Valens Lake Conservation Area

Was here for an event and I was so impressed with the gazebo and the facilities. So clean! The sites looked well taken care of and lots of areas for recreation. Very impressed!

Camped here for 12 days just a week ago. It remains one of the gems for a delightful vacation while needing to travel only a half hour for many cities. We usually go "up" to around North Bay but due to family circumstances needed to be near Cambridge. No regrets!! Many of the campsites rival or exceed those of provincial parks. The lake is a pleasure to paddle, giving both clear paddling on the main part of the lake and exploring fun in the northern marsh end. Biking/hiking trails are great and the boardwalk in the marsh is magical. Hope there will be a budget to replace aging picnic table tops. Staff are engaged and responsive. The total alcohol ban, as well as many radio-free zones, make this a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing getaway. Well done Valens!!

I just discovered this place recently spent a day picnicking it was a good experience... came back after couple of week for camping and it turned out to be great, the place is clean and beautiful and well maintained

When I was a child, Valens was the preferred spot to camp for my parents and my scout troupe. When my fiancée and I got engaged, Valens was a top choice for me for our engagement photos. Thankfully my fiancée agreed. The Valens staff were both helpful and accommodating in helping us coordinate the shoot. It couldn't have been a better experience.
