Always a pleasant stay. Plenty of activity areas to play yard games, tennis, sand volleyball or swim in the pool. Love visiting Vegabond when we can.

Beware.....absolutely, unequivocally NOT pet-friendly!!!!! The not-so-happy ladies at the front desk suggested we walk our very well-behaved dog outside of the campground's main gate, which is a well traveled county road....NOT SAFE:(

We stayed at the Vagabond in Mid-September. Very nice and the facilities were exceptional clean. They do not take credit cards but we always carry a check book and they told us that when we made the reservation. Beautiful lake setting with nice size pool and deck area. Great biking trails and Hwy 4 has bike lane on each side. Heartland Trail is in excellent condition and has many little towns to stop in along the way. Close to Park Rapids for shopping. There are many nice sites in the park, but do need to check for trees with your size of RV. Owners were very helpful and nice. We would come back here when in the area. Also close to Itasca State Park - headwater of Mississippi River but also many trails, water recreation and biking.
